for me and it seems, a good deal of the community, the primary problem is the lack of weapons having range.
we seem to now have to be right up in front of the enemy to reliably hit them.
being a heavy, my experience with this has been even worse. the effective range of the HMG is now around 10-13 meters for the non-assault variants.
the consensus from the other heavies i have talked with is that due to the suit buff, we can swear with the HMG lossing some damage as the exchange.
however, the range reduction (which for us has been the hardest as it got it's base range reduced, not just lossing SS) has extremely reduced its effectiveness.
to top it off, we have noticed it running out of ammo and having to reload FAR more often. couple that with supply depots seemingly no longer giving out ammo and we are in a dire situation.
on to range over all. as i stated, it seems no one is enjoying the reduction in their weapons range.
and here's the thing, think about the fact that eventually we will have the ENTIRE maps to fight on.....the only thing that will be used could very well be the sniper rifle and rail tanks....as nothing else has any bloody range.
love the new look and feel of the game, along with the improved mechanics, but the range reduction where bloody ridiculous. if we can't get back sharp shooter, at least buff everythings range (HMG in particular, it's NOT supposed to be a rappid fire shotgun)
another thing is that the game occasionally terminates matches and having checked my own wallet, and my squad mates having done the same, we didn't get compensated for time played, any info on that would be appreciated. |

ok, that was just a glitch, last match they supplied ammo, but first 5 today, they did not |

If you want to give weapons a buff to the range make it universal, the fact that it was tied to a skill is what made it broken last build. |

All weapons should have greatly increased range.
No other FPS artificially caps bullet range like this and there is a reason why. It feels ****** up and unnatural.
I can play the game just fine as it is now, but frankly, i really don't want to. This game, as it is, is not fun. It doesn't reward the ability to aim in ranged engagements, just rewards the ability to guess which direction your opponent is about to strafe before they do. |

we lost a few meters of range, the boundless HMG now has an optimal range of 31m. that isnt in any way counting its falloff. I havent got to thest the lower tier HMGs but if the amount dropped holds the basic HMG should still have 25~m range before falloff.

Its about a 15% damage nerf (with very loose rounding) not counting the 10% nerf ALL weapons got because weaponry no longer gives the bonus.

Just takes longer to kill people.. its really not -that- bad. Though supply depos seem to be a little buggy. just change fit and reselect your current fit as a work around, it refills your ammo.

HMG's shouldnt have been nerfed past the loss of sharpshooter (or at least not as hard). But honestly the average engagement range in the last build was getting silly for what it looked like the game was trying to do. |

every weapon SHOULD be at it's base range, just lost SS. the exception is the HMG, it had its base range REDUCED |

You have had a slightly difference experience than i have it seems ;)
Im seeing most of my engagements hovering from 20-30m, at least when i played earlier today. could have just been the teams and luck of the draw however.
