My only rule is no emotional QQ allowed, constructive criticism only.

The bottom line is that 98% of these threads will go unheard and unresponded too because most of you don't actually care enough to slow your roll and learn how to post effectively. You'll rage, cry, stamp your feet, and make a thousand threads, and than make a thousand more threads about how CCP has ****** you over because you didn't post effectively enough to be heard in the first place.

I know that there are a few of here in this sea of tears that actually have some good feedback to share, that goes far beyond "my weapon doesn't work exactly the same, now I have to adapt to the new gear" and who want to help improve the game badly enough that they'll listen to folks like myself who HAVE been able to influence CCP over the past year, and are willing to work with me in order to be heard as well.

I'm also making this post so that there's no excuse for any of you to whine about how your CPM is unwilling to hear you out* when you're making a conscious decision to make terrible post after terrible post. I know full well this thread will get buried amongst the **** threads, but if you are too lazy to run a search on your CPM0 Delegates' posting history and you miss this, its your own damn fault.

The lessons seem needed. Honestly he only asked people to be constructive and have quantified arguments. If people can't manage that not only do they not deserve to be heard but we'd likely be better off as a whole ignoring them. So to his power of doing nothing, yes, it is something he can and should use on unqualified and illogical arguments and baseless whining.

How can the CPM say "we get it" itfpeople are just going to be offended when someone says "we listen to goodposting?" Especially when he asked for people to help him create points to take to CCP?

So one moment he's being too harsh and condescending and the next he can't handle it because he knows how to look past trash posts? Going to have to ask that you make up your mind there.

I don't blame him. Hyperbole and whiny rants don't get much in the way of positive attention anywhere, and there is a massive amount of both on these forums.

Couching your words about a subject in an effective manner is just as important as the thoughts that motivate you to speak those words.

Being heard is easy. I hear heavy machinery and sirens just fine. I also tune them out.
Being understood takes effort, from the speaker as well as the listener. Being understood gets things done.


Want to produce useless noise that gets tuned out?
Rant, cry, whine and hyperbolise.

Want to produce effective communication that is listened to, understood, and eventually acted upon?
Suck up your indignation at being told you're producing useless noise, be less of a brat than you are capable of being, and marvel at the wonders of effective communication.

So instead of simply ignoring them he gave responses which indicated why those posts were sorely lacking. He did better than simply looking past them and provided criteria that most people who aren't trying to get their feelings hurt can agree would promote effective communication.

You are such an a****** man. You've got nothing useful say and whole lot of crying to do it in. Perhaps you hate CPMs because you weren't chosen to be one?

FFS, the guy is trying to be helpful. He is on the CPM and I imagine he can take his views to other CPMs and back to CCP. If you are too stupid or too immature to accept his offer to spend his time listening to our viewpoints and taking them to CCP on your behalf (because they sure as hell will not bother reading all the ignorant QQ threads) then you obviously have nothing to say worth listening to anyway.
