this will never be the case in any MMO ESPECIALLY a shooter!
can you honestly tell me that I can start a new character in an MMO such as OBLIVION and without proceeding to level my character thereby increasing my combat effectiveness, go on to take on the higher leveled quests? LOL
FACT=
Player skill only counts if you are fighting players with SP and Gear at a level in close proximity to your own!
FACT=
No matter how good you try to make it sound I will never be able to start a brand new Merc character and jump into a pub match and start killing mercs who are using prototype suits, weapons, and modules who have 10 million total SP.
Oblivion is not an MMO. You can kill people in prototype gear with militia gear, I have done it myself several times. And incorrect, I did exactly that when I got onto Uprising today. I got into a militia fit and in my first match I dropped at least two protosuits, without speccing into anything.
'Free lesson in goodposting' #4 - If you're going to claim something as 'fact', then make sure it's actually fact. If you're completely wrong, I somehow doubt that Jagerblitzen will care.
Hans/Heinrich - sorry to ninja your goodposting lessons thing. Also I support what you're doing 100%. |

and if you did that Kudos!
How close to dead were they when you started shooting them?
Did they have the survivability skills necessary to stay alive in their proto gear or was it AUR gear?
If you did kill them I suspect luck was the determining factor. I also suspect your luck ran out shortly after.
I performed an arcane feat known as flanking. I know that one was definitely a proper protosuit, as I had a pitched fight with him and saw his tag a lot. The other one dropped with a few headshots. The first one was at full health. The second had a little shield damage. I didn't die in this match until I ran out of ammo and had no nanohives.
You can kill protosuits in militia - but dust is a tactical game, and you need to treat it as such. Of course they have an advantage, but it's not unassailable. If you land all of your hits, a militia AR will drop even a proto heavy. |
