Are you using wireless?
I just connected directly to my router and I'm 23% into 639 MiB, and very quickly too.
try your wired connection instead of wireless |

***Update 2005 GMT***
SOLVED
I had to switch from wireless to a direct wired connection to my router...
For some reason (might just be me) the game client would not update via wireless. It needed a direct cable to the router. Hopefully this helps someone else... |

Using wireless. Cable solution isn't viable for me atm. Do not have cables that will reach. Did all previous updates since Dust went up with no problem. This is the first major issue I am having. |

I didn't have a long enough cable either, I had to unplug everything and reset it all up next to my router...but it worked...Good Luck! |

I tried this but the game client wouldn't update on a wired connection either. I will try to contact my ISP but if anyone else has information it would be nice to know. |

Key Killer and test recruit, what type of PS3's are you guys having problems with. Mine is an older BC 80gb. Just wondering if that has anything to do with the problem. Going to try to update on one of my new PS3's. I'll let you all know what happens. |

I'm still getting stuck on the 3.04 error 80701723. Been trying to download since it was available, and losing patience. |

One thing I've noticed. Seems that signal strength is VERY important. Check your signal strength in the network settings. If its not 100% try moving it closer to the router to see if that helps. So far, it seems to be working for my old PS3 which was having fits before. |

CCP Mindstar wrote:Hi guys, me again!
I checked into the download "restarting" thing with some other devs, and what you have been seeing is normal behaviour for this client. The download % will reset to 0 as it completes each file, and the total MiB / GiB remaining will decrease.
Cheers Mindstar Shouldn't it be like the patcher from last build? I remember if there were new maps, a patcher came up and showed 2 bars: one for progress of the current file being downloaded, one for total overall downloaded.
Right now, the current patcher serves to confuse the players. You have a TOTAL PROGRESS BAR, but it resets after every FILE BATCH downloaded.
Instead of this: (current) 0% (Total left: 1500MB) -> 12% (Total left: 1500MB) ----> "reset" -> 0% (Total left: 800MB) -> 24% (Total left: 800MB) ----> "reset" -> 0% (Total left: 400MB) -> 64% (Total left: 400MB) ----> "reset" -> 0% (Total left: 24MB) -> 100% (Total left: 24MB)
You should either have 2 bars like explained above.
Or switch the bar to current batch download:
0% (Batch left: 700MB; Total left 1500MB) -> 100% (Batch left: 700MB; Total left 1500MB) -----> "reset" -> 0% (Batch left: 400MB; Total left: 800MB) -> 100% (Batch left: 400MB; Total left: 800MB) -----> "reset" -> 0% (Batch left: 376MB; Total left: 400MB) -> 100% (Batch left: 376MB; Total left: 400MB) -----> "reset" -> 0% (Batch left: 24MB; Total left: 24MB) -> 100% (Batch left: 24MB; Total left: 24MB) |

Yes mine is an old 60 gb PS3.
For those still having issues, have you tried putting the PS3 in the DMZ on your router and/or deleting and reinstalling from scratch?
I hate to recommend a delete/reinstall but I did it, put PS3 on DMZ in router, and connected directly to router and it worked. Remember there is a bug that keeps resetting the status bar, so as long as your moving from 1.22 GiB > 1.0 GiB > 828 MiB > 639 MiB > 339 MiB, etc...you are moving in the right direction. |

I tried to direct connect the PS3 to the router, but I've found out that the modem needs replaced so I'll be getting a new one soon, and hopefully that will solve my problems with a jumpy connect. |

I think the problem is partly the older style PS3's. Both of my slims DL'd no problem. I eventually got the older PS3 to download wirelessly by setting it close enough to the router so the signal was 100%. Also, put it into a DMZ not sure which helped more. Anywho got it updated. Just think CCP might want to investigate this. |
