Ya know what i've realized by now? with all the "Nerf hammers" being thrown left and right? with all the good players leaving or switching roles? have they not forgotten the first role to be nerfed so badly it was laughable?
yes, dropship Pilots. cmon, it was a universal fact that our ships were as paperthin as a standard 8.5x11" Paper. forge gunners,swarm launchers and anyone who hated us in general loved what would be a rewarding kill from after a few volleys. and some of the pilots were doing the same thing you guys are doing now: Giving up a role you want to excel in for another.
but here's the crazy thing about it;
while you guys said, "Dropships are worthless", we continued on. we kept to our role because some of us loved the feeling of flying, because some of us actually fly planes (i think it was you skihids, if so big shout out!) some of us tried to make do with the advantages we had, and i for one had some of the most memorable moments in DUST due to dropship flying (Bojo, shout out for letting me use the scattered blasters ). we found ways to manage and found ways to be effective, even if that effectiveness was short lived.
becasue of that many of the pilots i've met are humble about their niche in this game, understanding the risks, and resisting the call to the other side despite the reality that indeed, the dropships were underpowered. i refuse to accept that, and accepted the dropship as a worthy challenge, and to this day,i'll support all the pilot i meet, that is why some of the pilots i've met recieved a mail from me praising their flying ability, hoping for them to continue their piloting against immeasurable odds :D
And now,when we are beginning to make a small- comeback, and suddenly i see the same scenario again: with heavies being nerfed/buffed im still confused as to how they are affected. and here is antoher funny thing:
They havent even played the build yet and yet they are already making the decision to leave. like really? because you lread the event horizon, the patch notes, etc. and letting your imagination run wild with all the stats, and played all these worst case scenarios in your head, and now your scared to even continue being a fatboy/Girl?
so yeah i might come to forget this when i sober up, but for those who are staying a heavy weathering the bullets, and the storm of nerfs, keeping this niche of being a tank, i salut ya o7 if you see me on the field as a blue dot Logistics operator, know that i will do everything in my power to keep you alive. keep showing CCP that your kind will resist, will persevere and will one day prosper in New Eden.
and to the heavies loosing weight:
i have been playing since codex, i've seen all the names i could think of, and EXTREMELY rarely, have i seen references to "AR 514"and the like and now. i even remember (If at all) some of your guys saying that dropships were worthless.
and now?
Uprising has happened. many people may not think of this, but by Jumping the boat, by giving in to the whining ARfags who want to 1v1 a heavy, by making them stronger by becoming their ally, you have already failed yourself.
but whatever, this is a game, whatever you need to win at all costs, am i right? so with that , i'd like to extend a warm welcome to New Eden, where the going gets tough, and the tough becomes a brutal Hell,
may your Ar's be soaked in the blood of your enemies, may the heavies Stand up against the storm, defiant with their suits showing the scars of their battles, may the pilots continue to persevere against the storm
Another toast to the Chromosome build, may you live forever.
