The biggest issue here is that you feel the need to compare the two.
There are dumb, horrible players that don't use tactics, team work, etc. and expect to get better somehow.
Then you have players that adapt, learn, settle into roles, learn multiple roles, etc. and they will dominate.
This isn't about the game. Every game has crap players, average players, and players that are above average.
For some reason everyone feels the need to stereotype..... |

For example, it is the reason we do Quickscoping, we want our sniper rifles to be just as good up close as at range. It is a deadly combo if done right.
Unlike other players, we do not like to change our class for the occasion, instead we do the best we can with what we selected. If I decided to go Shotgun, even though the entire other team is sniping, I am NOT switching. I will just flank and rush them. It is not always the best decision but it is a good attribute to have.
Just today, me and abouy 8-11 other guys found an enemy HAV. We had no AV.
So we just threw locus grenades, shot AR's at it, used one HMG and I used a breach shotgun & breach SMG. We took it down in two minutes.
Don't rule us COD players out just yet!
And I run to a supply depot, grab my Forge Gun and blow up that tank under 11 seconds. Personally I think it's better to adapt on the field, but then again if I see a guy like you doing things totally against your odds I'm impressed though. |

Quote:...On a slightly related note, I do not understand why so many people want the "commander" role put in so that "the game can have a RTS element" or something similar. There's already an overhead map in the game, and you should be using it, or communicating with someone else who is looking at it on your team!
Yes, this is so true. When I'm the squadleader I occasionally give a look at the map and once we had a buddy who couldn't respawn anymore so instead of whining he started giving us the enemy position, etc. It was so helpful that we easily could repel the enemy with the rest of our squad! So in a sense I would appreciate a commander role, even if he just tells me what's happening it would be great. |
