On May 14th CCP isremoving the beta tag & calling Dust "released" and this is a big mistake. Come the 14th gaming sites are going to begin reviewing this game and assigning numbers to it. And you are releasing this game with orbitals regardless of Eve ships present, no economic ties to Eve, and no ability for Eve pilots to hire Dust mercs. In short you are releasing the game long before what you promised and before much of what makes it truly unigue is in. I really like this game & believe in its promise but i forsee metacritic scores in the mid-60s and reviews that can be summed up with "good for free to play" come May 15th. |

I agree with this.... We don't know absolutely everything that Uprising will bring... but going Live on the 14th seems premature... We don't even have half of the intended content.
We're still missing aircraft, mechs, and the full range of hand weapons.
Granted, these will likely be added via expansions later, or part of a PS4 client, but it still seems.... Premature. I trust they know what they're doing, if they take lessons learned from EVE, and modify them for the F2P arena.
A good for free to play review would not be far off from what they were aiming at. The game is and always will be F2P... It still seems a bit early, but only time will tell what the long term results are.
Reviews don't quite make a break a game. EVE has, and still receives horrid reviews, yet it's customer base steadily grows. Go figure. |

I too find it a bad idea to formally release the game only 8 days after a major update. I am almost certain that Uprising will bring a lot of glitches along with updates (they always do) and 8 days seems like a very short time for fixing everything. |

There is thing called contract with Sony. They have to fulfill it. And nobody cares about reviews - EVE got horrible reviews at first and now it is 10 years running one of the best MMOs out there. |

On PC, with a subscription model and a much smaller company at the time.
Please stop apologizing and defending CCP, the game is not at all even close to what the original vision was, a shadow maybe, with a promise for more, but its only promises atm.
It really lis feature lacking and thats undeniable in any stand up argument, development pace is glacial and in 8 months when most people who tried the game and quit see it again on PSN they will think "oh wow that sucky game" and never give it a second thought.
I love DUST and what it aims to acheive and its vision but its not ready and denying that only hurts it. |

We had this discussion already last year. People here didn't think December 2012 was a good time for commercial release so CCP postponed it until May 14 of this year. Besides, Eve Online has been around for ten years already and yet it's technically in permanent beta (incomplete, still a few bugs, war on lag, etc.). |

The game has been reviewed and the release will get it reviewed again.
It is not a normal FPS game and there has already been articles regarding the learning curve, the extensive Skill Tree as well as the EVE connection.
There really isn't any need to wait as the upgrade to UnReal 4 will make most of your concerns disappear. |

Hopefully gaming sites will understand that Dust will continue to grow and will update their review when the expansions are released. I just think CCP fell too much in love with 5/14 and ran with it, damn everything else. |

Damn the reviews. I believe this game will be even better 5/14 2014.. This will be release but the game will continually evolve and grow. It will require at least annual reviews, eh? Sony & CCP will be only ones getting paid so almost noone else in the 'industry' will like it. Patience and commitment are all that is required to play.. |

Actually the game has been "previewed" a number of times but fully reviewed, not until it's released. Yeah, I understand and you understand that Dust will continue to grow and evolve, but the average revewier that slaps some silly arbitrary number on a game will not. You have to remember that this game exists in the console space, no natter what changes happen with the game chances are it won't get another review except maybe when CCP can release a titled expansion, if then.
Despite it being moronic metacritic scores do matter and I just don't think its wise to remove the beta label without delivering on what CCP has been primarily using to sell this game "meaningful connection with Eve". I will be happy to be proven wrong hopefully, but this is the feedback section and my feedback is I love this game and feel its not near what you have promised and thus not ready to be called released. Don't be surprised when reaction is negative, welcome to the console space. |

I'm not so much worried about not all features being there as how much worse the performance has become in recent months. The game was kinda ugly and gritty 6 months ago, but it had a rather steady framerate and felt pretty responsive. Following the last few patches the game doesn't feel responsive at all, there's severe input delay, and the framerate seems to be in the lower 10's much of the time. Sure, it's more pleasant to look at, but it's not very engaging to play anymore. |
