So i read all the blogs. Scanned the patch notes in detail. No mention of the tram system in the war barge getting repaired. So CCP can we expect it to be fixed by commercial release? |

I'd be surprised if its fixed in 5 years, eve players have had that locked door for how long now? And it's still locked. |

Guess the door only opens when they make the bridge between EVE and Dust to work, and it-¦s not on their immediate plans =( |

I was thinking that once you walk through that door in the merc quaters it takes you to this one public area that is like the one on pshome but instead it is limited to people in your faction |

In a strange aside, I heard that Star Citizen will be launching their version of Captains' Quarters and Spinning in Stations this summer:

You're not getting social environments anytime in the near ever, regardless of whether or not its good for the game.
Incarna fiasco happened for a lot of reasons that didn't all have to do with it being a bad idea, but it gave CCP a permanent black eye. Hilmar may think he knows the exact cause of the Jita riots, but that lingering uncertainty means he is absolutely terrified of venturing down that road again. There is not even a single person on the team for it anymore. |

But they are still developing WoD, which gives me hope.
Avatar-based gameplay (and dogfighting) will need to come to EVE/Dust sooner, rather than later.
There were on the right track with Incarna, but they gave us Space Barbie instead of that "Consequences" thing they showed at Fanfest. That's what caused people to freak out.
Then, of course, there was the 5% of EVE that just complains about everything that doesn't make griefing easier. |

That's true. It was basically an update without true content. The character creation/captain quarters look awesome but you have nothing to do inside it.
I still think it should be on the pipeline for this year to connect both games in a social area. I mean, damn, they've made the pub area for the Play Station Network. I mean... They could do a lot of stuff in it. Add a arcade machine for people to play EvE Offline (The sidescroller that had a demo at the fanfest). A place for people to get to know each other, but allowing them to manage things like the industries and stuff the don't require you to undock.
They are wasting a huge thing by delaying this even further.
I know they have lots of stuff to worry about. But they also have a big team full of very good and talented people. I mean, who the hell designed the Play Station Home thing? lol
