You could care less about my HAV, friendly troops and other friendly vehicles. All you want to do is hack for the WP.
Blue dots suck. They hack installations, then run away or do what this ******* does. If I'm in my Sagaris, I don't even bother moving up until the turrets behind me are dead. It's not worth losing 2,200,000 ISK because some ******* blue dot wants a few extra WP. |

ladwar wrote:(my) idea of the game is not let the enemy get warpoints/kills/objects. That is true too. Blue dots in pub games seem to have no concept of good WP management. Orbitals can change the tide of a game, and getting an orbital is frequently just as important as denying your enemy from having one too. This also applies to vehicles. Sometimes it is better to destroy your vehicle instead of letting the enemy destroy it for WP. Abandoned LAVs are free WP, so consider driving it into the red zone or off a cliff which will kill it if you no longer need it. |

It is actually the opposite actually the opposite. Railgun sniping tanks don't care about turrets at all. They are not a problem.
It's the tanks that move forward that need to worry about the turrets behind them, especially if they are railgun tanks. Railguns have a slow turret turn speed, so you need to turn your tank and the turret which takes a significant period of time. Railgun installations do over 1,000 damage per shot, and the railgun overheats on the fifth shot. If you hack a railgun turret behind a railgun tank, you can do 3,000 to 5,000 damage to the tank before it has a chance to react.
5,000 damage is not "overblown". You can drive a tank and find out. The railgun only needs a couple of seconds to get off 3 shots, which is over 3,000 damage. It can get three shots off before you can hack it back.
It is a bad idea to move forward and leave a turret behind you if you're in a HAV. If you can stay out of a turret's line of sight it might not be a problem, but the railguns can look over a large portion of the field.
I ******* hate blue dots. You try to help them and they don't even listen. Why even try to help them in game when they don't listen, suck, and do not want to get better? I'm glad that there is no extra reward for winning a pub game. If you blue dots suck so much ass that they'll just end up getting you killed and hurting your team, you should not be forced to help them. |
