How do Racial Suit Bonuses work?

Anyway, here it is: I only have one question about this. When it talks about racial bonuses, will this then be restricted to MY race using MY race's suit? Or is it just skilling into THAT specific race suit... I.E. I am Minmatar... I skill into Gallente medium suits and then spec into Gallente Logistic suits... What bonuses will I actually get? I understand it, in EVE it actually IS restricted to your character's race somehow... If that's the case, does CCP then intend to allow us to recreate our characters from scratch as they stand while still somehow returning our SP? I was so pumped up to focus on Minmatar logis again but only come to read patch notes to find that the Caldari or Gallente medium logi specific suits are the better options. A +5% hacking speed is garbage compared to 5% reduction to PG/CPU of Equipment or 5% efficacy (that means ability to produce an effect) of shield extender modules. Seriously CCP... That just hurts my fav looking suit... Bahh... Will be doing more data calcs once the new skill chart comes out to figure it all out but quite unfortunately I may be going Caldari or Gallente mediums for my logi suits as it looks now. It all depends on other elements but I doubt they'll really change base elements like module and equipment slots or general CPU/PG, speed, HP status, but I could be wrong about everything. I just want to get some ideas even though I only have like 48 hours to wait now. __________ A strong man can do many things, But the strongest knows he cannot do everything alone.

People aren't very... precise, in their titles or even the post information. A common issue on all the forums now. I wouldn't have included Training Grounds in there but it's gone heavily downhill as well... It's good to know this, but it still hurts that the coolest looking suit in my opinion, is nowhere near the best suit for the job... Oh well, I'll live with it, somehow.
