Some people just don't understand what the role of a heavy is. You are not slayers, you are bullet sponges, tanks, distraction, the ones who supress, the ones who take the damage while the killers do the killing, if my word is not enough, go ahead and pay a visit to the class description. Wait untill you play the build and judge afterwards if you are underpowered or not. And also, thanks for calling me a noob, I love you too. Adapt or die. |

Sorry, but any class that is classified as a "distraction" is a joke.
WP = ISK. No kills, no WP... distracting enemies has no WP.
I'm entertaining this comment cuz it's one of the funniest things I've read so far.
I am glad you are "entertaining" this comment even though I don't know how you actually do that. Maybe its your bad grammar. Either ways, you obviously have never heard of the role tank on an MMO, right? Low to medium damage, able to take a beating while the DPS does the damage dealing. But since you have no experience in that, let me pull out wikipedia for you, maybe you can get a little educated.
Quote:Tank (gaming) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia For other uses, see Tank (disambiguation). A tank is a style of character in gaming, often associated with a character class. A common convention in real-time strategy games, role-playing games, MMORPGs, MOBAs and MUDs, tanks redirect enemy attacks and/or attention toward themselves in order to protect other characters or units. Since this role often requires them to suffer large amounts of damage, they rely on large amounts of vitality or armor, or alternatively evasiveness and misdirection.[1] Tanks are often represented as large or heavily armored. Thank you. Here's a tissue. |

Lance 2ballzStrong wrote:Lol...compares an MMO on PC to a FPS on console, and calls it balance. GG You can't compare 2 games, 2 different genres at that, and justify the balancing. The mere fact that you call a class a distraction shows how much of a joke you think the class is. You didn't answer me about how are we suppose to get WP? We get nothing for suppression, loldistracting. May as well put heavies out there wearing a clowns hat. Why bother with an HMG? If we're not suppose to kill, give us a weapon that does NO damage to armor Also, please quote me where I called you a "noob". You didn't call me noob, I saw someone that did so I put it up there, don't be so sensitive. Again, MMO is an MMO no matter where it plays. The moment this game launched as a tactical based MMOfps it was bound to have classes and roles and your role is to take damage. You can make hybrids by putting damage modifiers on for larger damage output in order to get "WP" even though I don't believe that a teamplayer cares more about WP instead of winning, showing me how much you love your team.
And about that clown hat, consider wearing it. Your "constructive" feedback cannot be taken seriously so might aswell get something nice out of it. |

Ric Barlom wrote:Guys, guys, guys... Let me pitch in here just enough to point out a few critical things you might have missed in this conversation. You see, we have a problem of perceptions here: Everyone has a different vision on where the heavy suit is headed and CCP seems to have theirs too. Everyone wants different things from the heavy! See my point? And that's the beautiful thing about it, guys: Heavies can use all of the light weapons and sidearms too. The heavy suit itself is getting buffed as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong here guys, while having it's price reduced. Now a heavy being slow but durable at the same time, lends itself at defensive duties better than any other suit no matter which weapon you decide to use. Now as far as getting WP as much as assaults, well that's gonna be tougher and maybe CCP should look into that.
Now that's constructive feedback and you are right. Thank you for pointing this out, you do have a great point. |

Lance 2ballzStrong wrote:Hold up. This is a FPS, first and foremost. First Person Shooter. Everyone sees this and it is recognized as this. Yes it's also an MMO, but people not gonna see gameplay and say "Hey, that's a nice MMO!" It's a shooter.
Dmg mods on a heavy suit... riiiight. The new suit has 1 highslot.
In corp battles I don't care about WP, but in pubs WP = ISK = supporting myself.
lol...telling me about being a teamplayer. You even know WHY I'm a heavy? You even know how many roles I played in the beta? You even know how many corp battles i was in?
I'm a heavy cuz my team needed a heavy. I was the generic assault player running around with his AR. We need a heavy, and here I am. During the beta I tried every role minus vehicles, so I know a thing or two about roles and their purpose.
Who said this was ever about feedback??? Where did I ever say that??? You even read the title of the thread?! Where does it say i'm giving feedback?
Not sure if serious at this point, cuz yeaaah. I can't bother with you anymore, you are arguing for the sake of arguing not for making the game better. So here's an advice. If you want to kill, pick a slayer class. Also, adapt or die. Corp battles don't make you a teamplayer by the way. |

Lance 2ballzStrong wrote:I posted in the actual Feedback section on a number of times about real issues with the heavy suits, so have a number of other heavies, and CCP listened. They lowered the price of the proto suit. So please, don't tell me about leaving feedback, I've done that. This thread was NEVER about feedback, hence it's in the General Discussion, so people can discuss...derp. You can't tell me about being a teamplayer, you don't know me. You have never fought against me, or with me. Before today you probably never even heard of me. So keep your "advice" to yourself Your posts proves how true my previous post was. |

NeoWraith Acedia wrote:never did answer Lance's question about what heavies are supposed to do to gain ISK. I'll tell you what they're supposed to do, they're supposed to kill, they're supposed to stay at objectives and kill anyone who gets near them. Sure, every now and then you'll get some wannabe rambo mofo who thinks he's just a better assault, but those aren't good heavies, good heavies know their role. their role? It's what people in other games refer to as "campers" lol distractions? GTFOH You are clearly lost. Please read the class descriptions again. |

lol "meat shields" and "distractions", I'm not wasting anymore time on you, you clearly don't know squat. And that line is a chokepoint, "camping" as you said yourself before. Here's one for you aswell, all yours. |
