My scan is X, your Suit's Profile is Y. If X is bigger than Y, I can see you. When you run or shoot, your profile gets much larger. I believe scan Precision is how big the dot is but I am unsure.
Be well. Um no, sorry. Your profile is completely unaffected by sprinting. You can jump, walk, crouch, and sprint all you want, but your profile will remain the same. all of his was wrong tac com is right. |

Tac Com wrote:Your suit profile is a measure of how easy you are to detect on radar and how long you stay visable as a red dot on the enemy team's screen. This is also based on the scan precision of the enemy who's trying to detect you, the higher his precision the easier it is to detect you.
Here's the basic rundown of the stats that effect this:
Scan Profile - How easy your suit is to detect on radar (the lower the better) Scan Precision - How easy you suit is at detecting other suits (the lower the better) Scan Radius - How far the radar works on your suit (the higher the better)
Some things to keep in mind if you want the edge in information warfare. Dropsuit Command currently lowers the scan profile of your dropsuits, so natrually everyone has a modified scan profile to some extent. Also differant dropsuits have differant stats for radar, scouts being the hardest to detect and the best at scanning people, while heavies are basically blind to anything but vehicles.
There are also skills which assist in these areas, all located in the electronics section.
I know things like shooting will reveal you on radar but I've also heard about running to increase your profile. Lkewise I've also heard that running doesn't so I won't comment on it.
But as a basic referance, lower profile means the enemy needs an even lower precision to spot you. the only thing to add is that it scales from max range =base calculated to 0m to perfect detection so closer targets have to have even smaller profile to not be detected. as who in the world wouldn't be able to detect someone breathing on their neck less then an inch away . |

yea, did a lot of test on this. and made a pretty guess on the scaling but that i'll just keep to myself. |
