I avoided having long length discussions because it allows me to expand answers as the topic gets closer to focus, right now I do not feel comfortable concreting anything and is entirely up for debate. It would be awful if I stuck in my ways entirely to hard before discussing it with fellow community members.
and I was quite sure in answering the remaining questions but ill post it again just in case. (btw most of the topics are front burner not hot button, hot button are things that need to get done now!)
Prone
Prone is a multi-facet game question that needs answering. The first of which does it 'break' the game, we already know about head glitching and LOD Terrain problems in chromosome and having prone now would just simply make it more broken for possibly even the shooter who shoots into 'invisible' dirt. Overall if ever added I certainly don't want to see the superman push ups and wet potato bag syndrome that plagues twitch shooters.Transition into prone and out of must be slow and disadvantageous to pull off in the middle of a gun fight.
Drones as assets I had an idea for a new OMS structure called the drone hive. That would act like a turret but when commanded the 'turret' can be mobile and move about. If the drone was destroyed the hive would build a replacement. And like the turret the operator is exposed. Its possible it could open up new game play times like the drone is the only unit able to carry a bomb or something.
Heavies being OP I certainly don't feel heavies are OP at all. True they're slow heavily defended, and are the only class that will continue to use heavy weapons (ie dev hacks on pictures and lack of assests) but they're certainly not god mode in killing or not dying departments.
AV vs Tanks Currently semi-balanced favoring the AV atm. However with everything changing in Uprising I will have to reevaluate post patch, BTW swarm launchers where nerfed quite a bit.
Flash & Smoke grenades Would love to see these and more and the means to counter such as different visors or skills.
MCC commanders This is a back burner topic but if ever introduced needs to be intuitive and fun to play.
Corp Training Rooms I don't think a training room is appropriate for an entire corp. A danger room that teaches the individual complete with a challenge mode would be nice and controlled environment. Corporations should be using their own districts to train on tactics and strategy.
I'll answer the rest I have finals today so see you guys later.
AUR rewards and contracts Corp Armories Player Trading market Sky Spawning Cloaking Claymores The missing dropsuit options on May 6 What are your opinions on penetration gamplay? How do you feel about the mass driver? LAVs being a OHK?
But trust me I am very capable of a story long discussion on ever one of these topics. Just one liners lets you get words in edge wise at least and gives you something to work around or with. |

AUR rewards and contracts
AUR should never be transferable there are issues beyond game play reasons as to why, mostly involving governmental issues and taxes. This does not mean that the items bought with AUR could be sold for isk however.
Corp Armories & Player Trading market This is one of the few priority topics being pursued by CCP currently along with trade and market. CPM feels that CCP is fairly focused on getting these features to you guys as soon as technically and feasibly possible. Last update via fan fest was that there was plenty of back end work to be done and UI design as well as very few higher level questions to be answered such as where are the items?
Sky Spawning This is something I would like to see provided there is good game play reasons behind it and things that do take into consideration in preventing lame sauce tactics and applauds proper use. I already had this discussion a few weeks back and most of the community was positive but didn't know how to go about it.
Cloaking I am strongly pushing for cloaking to be a hand held device and not a cortex based ability. There are quite a few game play issues of being cloaked and having a gun out at the same time, In this game where stealth is viable (there should been no reason why I can go on a stabbing spree unnoticed inside an enemy squad) and based on earlier talks with CCP Wolfman it wont be as lame as planetside 2's cloak while getting shot at mechanics.
Claymores Claymores are semi-fun and unfun for various reasons and I would like to keep it fun by having the ability of some sort of using an active scanner to find explosives maybe, an EOD scanner and flux grenades destroying placed explosives. That way people who are cautious can benefit and counter still. In addition 'bouncing betties' and step on land mines, smart mines, and trip wires.
The missing dropsuit options on May 6 CCP is only human and can only get so many suits done so fast, I do eventually expect a full spectrum commitment and once all is in and said and done then they can introduce a new line of with all four races present at the same time.
What are your opinions on penetration gamplay? This is a headache and a half on asking the big game questions such as why when where and how. There are quite a bit of unknown factors right now and I do feel a bit squeamish of just having it as is. In today's naval battles if a team didn't wan't to lose the titan to the enemy via capture then both fleets are likely going to shoot and the pilot is going to burn the tank modules out on purpose, fastest titan to die in modern battles was 5 minutes. In the future it can likely be far less. I say start with things that are more permanent and takes an hour or two to kill at fastest, such as star bases, gates, and outposts.
How do you feel about the mass driver? Mass Drivers felt a whole world better in Uprising in terms of aiming it. However will need more hands on and more targets to evaluate the rest of it.
LAVs being a OHK? Militia level ones deserve it. As for the miltiary grade LAVs I have seen one in uprising eat 3 forge gun shots and live to drive away. As for running people over I am entirely fine by it, Suits are not that crush proof as they are still very reliant on the user's own skeleton as the major support structure and despite having titanium reinforced bones they're not enough to stop an armored sports car from crushing you with the amount of force and htier own weight they're going at.

I actually meant that if the LAV hits you even if its going 10mph its an autokill. Do you like this or think it needs to change?
I would like something more consistent but an lav even going 1 mph and with a hall behind you is still going to kill you. But out in the open should only 'push you.'
I do like the LAV slamming to a stop when trying to run over a Heavy though, I find that pretty neat.
Also at 10mph you can still run over people in real life pretty easily, hell lost a crew member to an airplane move and those moves are only 2 mph at most. 45,000 pound plane ran right over her and popped her head off after rolling down her entire back. There is a reason why they're supposed to stay away from the damn wheels during plane moving. |
