seriously unless fittings and game play has changed significantly it looks like no one will be playing a scout anymore, I wont complain to much about the equipment slots since apparantly they have all been reduced
proto variants min Shield 100 Armour 70 cpu 230 pg 60
dropped shields now have recharge at 8s instead of 10 slight increase in speed (0.1m) and slight inc in stamina (a whole 5 to get it to 200)
3 high 2 low 1 equip
gal S 70 A 130 cpu 250 pg 60
again dropped shields now have recharge at 8s instead of 10 decreased speed (looks like they modeled after a vk.1 stamina is again 200
1 high 4 low 1 equip
cant see scan profile and what not, which would of been nice to see
I find it funny that the logi suit has better depleted shield recharge then the scout(the amarr one actually recharges faster if you deplete it with a 5 second depleted and a 6 second damaged)
I dont even know where to start.. looks like I will be killed alot more.
they love to give out scout suits as rewards but apparently have never actually played in a scout suit |

If gall proto has 1 high... Will basic and adv have no highs..?

It has 4 lows though and high PG. Great for putting those stamina mods and mobility mods on it. I bet cloaking is gonna be PG heavy. I see things going in the right direction though. |

I'm sticking with the scouts no matter what. That Minmatar scout suit is looking rather appealing with the bonus for melee and nova knife damage. Oh one more thing. Screw your guns. The knife is calling me. |

Why? cause like the sniper we got kills with less risk? If I was haunting an objective, all you had to do was leave a squad there. I mean it. less then 4 and I'll take it back. But ALL YOU HAD TO WORRY ABOUT WAS THE OBJECTIVE. I didn't hunt people down, just location.
Fine ccp.. limit the scout. The FPS mechanics were far. (very far) from good. forcing me to treat this game different then all the other fps. Thats why I went scout. It got fun after that.

Fine. do what you will with scout. I'm still choosing it. I'll find a way..

Pretty much everything has been rebalanced. So you can't really compare the viability of anything yet, especially against the chromosome gear, where almost everything was wildly out of control (for good or bad). |

It could be that they balanced the scout based on the fact that they are now trully scouts i.e. spotters, assasins, etc. Due to pofile balancing and scanners now working this means that scouts should have the advantage on when and where to engage their targets. Due to this increased abilty to surpise the other classes they correspondibly have been nerfed if people play scouts as assaults i.e. direct 1 v 1 confrentation.
Scouts have been given the tools to use suprise and a grater tactical advantage than any other class. It remains to be seen if this balance works well in practice in the next build.

Ehhm, that 8 is not shield recharge rate. That's shield recharge delay, that's a buff. |

I'm actually thrilled where scouts are headed. I can see for people who used scouts as more of a speedy assault suit or going frontline shotgunning or whathaveyou, but for people who used it as an actual scout suit Uprising will be great.
The big thing here is scan profile. Currently there is a reduction in scan profile with Dropsuit Command, meaning everybody gets it. That has now been removed and placed specifically in the Scout Suit skill. No longer where there be assault suits or logi suits that can remain hidden from passive radar, now only scouts suits will. Combine that with just how much scan profile reduction scouts get with the specialized suits, we should be able to run across the battlefield unnoticed save for perhaps another scout which in that case we are on level terms. And I don't care much for shield recharge delay, whatever the delay I am able to get out of enemy range long enough for it to go in effect.
I'll definitely be going Scout suit. Now it's just a matter of which one, and that is entirely dependent on how they fixed the nova knives (minmatar scout gets a bonus there). |

The gallente scout could actually be beast with active stealth modules, but without it....I doubt it will be too competitive outside of pretty limited roles. |

I have to see the rest of the stats, but i love the fact they dropped the delay down by 2 sec. I run regulators on my suit which completely changes the scout, even now looking at the gallente proto specialized suit with 1 high and 4 low you can literally make that thing into a shield tanking beast, with less than 1 sec delay if your not in armor and just over 1 sec delay if your into armor. |

I'm a scout suit convert. But honestly, I don't see us doing so well in PC where each clone is precious. And our less than squishy max EHP at proto level is not just going to potentially cost us a lot of isk but also our team's clone reserve.
I'm sticking with it though. I see it as a challenge. I sure hope to see the racial bonuses for the future Amarr and Caldari Scout Suits though. I'm not too excited about the Minmatar Scout, and the Gallente Scout's low slot heavy configuration (armor/speed favored) doesn't appeal to me much. But if asked to pick between the two, I think Gallente will by my choice.
