I dunno where this magical 5.5 million SP number came from. Really, I don't.
See, by my estimates, it's actually around 3,108,940 - total, for a 10x skill.
There are some of you out there with 10,000,000 total SP so, congrats you've got enough to spare to get all of your core skills out of the way and still land a primary weapon at level five.
Really don't know where all this fear mongering is coming from... Seriously...
358,400 SP a week if you hit your Active cap.
3,108,940 divided by 358,400 = 8.67 weeks. That's a hell of a lot less than this "6 months" business.
Chill people. Seriously. Think before you flip out. |

You have to skill through [insert race] Medium Frame, which is a 6x skill, before you can skill into [insert race] Logistics or Assault.
That's more than 5 million SP in total. |

4,973,760 - actually. Which would take about 13 or so weeks. We're still at about 3 months last I checked, unless we're doing Mayan Calender all of a sudden. |

You're not supposed to be King of All Trades until way down the line - that's how this game works. You find your specialization and you stick with it, become better at it. If it doesn't work out, maybe you just suck at that role and should try something else.
That's why you -don't specialize until you know what you're going for- hence why they have the Medium Frame (without bonuses) in the first place. |

It's just kinda much. There is no way to play test anything in this game. It discourages experimentation. Pretty much, we all have to roll the dice and guess which suit will suit our needs best, then commit 3 months at least of SP to get it, just to be competitive.
And sometimes you choose wrong. I'm have proto assault right now I never use because on an alt I realized that Adv Scout is actually viable and a lot of fun to boot. So much SP, but it's NOTHING compared to skilling into the wrong thing in the Fanfest build.
All in all, the increased Sp requirements is kinda terrifying. Maybe you guys have found you're niche (probably assault AR), but I'm still trying to find mine. The Duvolle was so dominant in this build... |

Here's an idea - check out the Show Info button and look at it's fitting.
Run a spreadsheet, do some math, save yourself some time and SP.
Use the Militia/Standard variants. The 12,000 isk for a Weapon Skill isn't going to kill you.
Try it before you buy it mate. |

Because your corporation is so mighty that they will be king of the Instant Battle pubs? Maybe CCP should make a protobear lounge in Jita for all of those players that wanna go own some noobs.

What amuses me is people are assuming that racial specialised suit types are the equivalent what we have now.
My interpretation of the new skill tree is "Basic" is pretty much what we have now (except maybe logi, but idk yet because no one has posted info on basic suits!), and the higher tier is strictly better than what we have now.
We don't even know what the skill req of basic suit is! You might be able to hit Protobasics even faster. |

If the faction frames are basically what we have now... than they will be the only thing we use until we get to proto in the Variants. Why? Because why would you go from a proto basic suit to a standard level variant? 5% something? you're kidding, right?

At least two different 5% improvements, better slot layouts, and possibly improved base HP/speed and other stats. |

i dont think we would have to get to proto basics before we can use the specialist suits. think of it like to use the standard medium suit, i need x medium suit lv1. if i want to use it with the assualt modifications, i need x assualt suit skill (where x is race). so basic assualt is(i think), 1 in medium, and 1 in assualt. it would be silly to have you reach proto basic before touching the assualts or logi's etc. |

What makes you think I need my corp to destroy noobs? Most of Red Star knows I roll solo most of the time. I still ******* destroy noobs and vets.
I got into a match y/d and the first thing I hear on comms is;- "Oh God! Its Sentient! Hes gonna AFK".
2 minutes later into the game they pretty much STFU!
Don't underestimate the individual talents or the teamplay in R*S. We might troll the forums to kingdom come because that's what you scrubby noobs deserve. But when it comes to kicking ass and taking names we have earned the respect of the top corps. Talk to some of the corps that have played us. Win or lose we showed them what we are made now.
Now **** off! I got only 4 hours sleep. |

What I'm hinting at is we don't have the full picture, and people are sperging out that everything is bad. It's like judging a movie by it's trailer. You know roughly what's in it, but you haven't seen everything yet.
It's stupid. I'm eager and getting impatient to see all the changes and "stuff", and all I've posted was a nudge to CCP for the blog they promised with the lists of items and changes.
End of the day, if "everything" is "nerfed", EVERYONE is affected. It's called balance. Refer to my Eve Titan reference, we shouldn't be running top end gear in a matter of weeks. If your attention span and dedication to goals is that handicapped, this might not be where you intended to be. |

Of course it was, apparently we are the only ones that like to speak our mind about making the game better.
Aeon Amadi wrote:Chill people. Seriously. Think before you flip out.
I don't think anyone is "flipping out", some people just like to get their opinion aired more than others. We didn't tell you to quit being a corporate nomad did we? So quit trying to guide people's posts.
Noone wants anything handed to them, we want to work for it. But we want what we work for to be worth it, atm, it isn't. Are these the final stats and bonus's on the racial suits? I doubt it, but then again, CCP doesn't share anything with the player base about the future of DUST. Hence why when we see something we yell like idiots... trying to get the other idiots attention.
