Who's given out the detailed stats on non-Proto tanks to confirm that every step is being nerfed?
We only know the specifically-designated "glass cannon" tanks are fragile - AS THEY SHOULD BE. We don't know that the other variants don't have similar (or better) stats to the current levels. We also don't have definitive confirmation of the Sagaris and Surya being gone. It's possible that Marauders will be back, with their current statline but a defensive buff instead of the damage increase we have now. It's possible the Enforcers and Marauders (or a new resistance-focused tank class) will be designated as Advanced HAVs, and the Marauders will return as Prototypes with a combination of the strengths of both sides.
We also have nothing to confirm that tank modules and weapon stats haven't been significantly altered, making them worthless until fitted properly, but absolutely game-changing when they're well-equipped. |

Thing is, we don't need these "Glass Cannon" tanks, they're so bad. It just means any tank that wants to go out and support is going to get oneshotted by a redline glass cannon. Which means the only tanks used in a CB will most likely be a Glass Cannon tank, nobody will be stupid enough to take a CQC tank out without the Rail backing it up. |

All I know is I'm nearing 5k damage per shot with my railgun tank, haven't maxed my skills out yet. I can take a max of two shots from a similar fit tank, making us weaker means we're going to one shot eachother easily, so people bringing in a countersniper isn't going to work if the tank can see the whole field, one shot the enemy tank and then one shot the other one.
Railguns are broken.
Marauders can come back and get two shotted instead of one, because if they buff it too much, then infantry will complain and it'll get nerfed. What really needs to be done is making the tanks far more defensive, see I thought an "Enforcer" would be a lot stronger in the defence but a penalty on weapons. If they just brought down AV and Tank weapons to a reasonable amount of damage there would be no issues. |

People worked out a while ago that Hybrid Turret skills are applying more of a damage bonus to Railguns than they're meant to, hopefully fixed in Uprising.
Making a high-durability non-Enforcer fitting means you'll be taking at least 3 hits from the enemy Enforcer, giving the friendly Enforcer time to get into position and line up a kill before that happens. Fall back, use modules, or call for friendly Logis to patch you up, and you're no longer threatened by the enemy glass cannon sniper, and can steamroll their infantry while the friendly Enforcer watches out for any more incoming HAVs and keeps them from reaching you. |
