I remember in the early days of the beta, ambush back then was fairly balanced, however it seems like nowadays the losing team only manages to get a handfull of kills, when did this start happening? |

Because on one side, you have a well-organized, experienced squad of people in prototype gear, and on the other you have a large number of people in millitia gear. |

No reason to go isk neg when my group of new berries has no shot in winning.
It also why I tend to get more isk when getting pubstomp then when I'm with the pubstompers. |

From what I've seen lately, it seems like a lot of matches are close until it's about 50-50 clones, then one side brings in HAVs, the other team just runs around doing nothing about it, and it's a blowout.
The biggest problem is that the SP and item range is too large in most matches. MMOs (or games with lots of skills/leveling) generally either tier their PVP or flatten it. Dust currently does neither, and hopefully it gets addressed soon.
That being said, I still find myself is a decent amount of competitive matches. |

I was in a match a couple of days ago where it started off a squad of my corp against maybe two people.
30 seconds later they got a full squad of Ill Omens, we got 1 or 2 blueberries.
1 minute later, they got a 3 man Internal Error squad, we got 1 or 2 blueberries.
Another minute later they got a couple guys from Nyain san we got 1 or 2 blueberries.
Think the final tally was like 12 mercs on their side, maybe 9 on ours?

It's because I play ambush now, and since I'm horrible the team I'm on always looses by a big margin. Sorry, my bad.
Actually, I've been seeing way more proto/officer gear lately... I think because folks are using their good stuff since there is some chance it will be gone in the new build (proto stuff reimbursed, but officer stuff... maybe gone?) |

Part of it is spawns, they do group together spawning, but thats not good for a spot being overrun. They should possiably opt for a spawn system based not just on proximity to friendlys but danger as well, anyone under fire spawn them behind people under fire. Ideally in the farthest back ranks and people who are not under fire.
That realy small map is the worst, they should realy change it to not small (I have no idea why it is artificially small).
have gotten numerous kills of people materializing before my guns, and this is in ambush and they are not doing it form a mcc.
Part of it, is also un-even teams. Hopefully with addition to a actual matchmaker, and new game types that interest organized corps newberys will be stomped less because incentive exists to something else (the state of things now of course all rewards SP and isk are gained from pub stomping). |

The rewards are unbalanced.
Either they should reduce the possible ISk earned in it so if you lose one Proto suit you lose money or they should increase the cost of gear so as to make dying far too expensive to go into a pub ambush match with anything more then a Gek or low level HMG and starter gear.
Pub matches are meant to start out playing and leveling up...perhaps even test out proto gear sets....Not farming for high level players. |

Spawn system is terrible.
Match starts, a couple of players spawn in randomly at first, then the whole team is locked into the location with the fewest nearby enemies.
Teams build up into 2 "blobs" of players.
Blobs collide, one team loses a few players early on. This team is now the designated losing team. As their numbers thin out, the team is quickly surrounded and left in a situation where they're outnumbered and the enemy is focusing fire on individuals rather than having to divide attention. As players spawn in the spawn system is heavily weighted towards spawning near teammates, so you spawn into the fight already in progress. Because you're already right there, you have a better-than-even chance of spawning either directly into enemy fire, or close enough that someone wanting an easy kill can divert their fire before you can see the battlefield. This has the effect of further increasing the chance of teammates spawning on the same location (while downed, the game still registers your location as a friendly until you bleed out).
The weighting on spawn locations needs to be changed.
TOP PRIORITY: Do not spawn on enemies. HIGH PRIORITY: Spawn on squad. LOW PRIORITY: Spawn near friendlies.
If there's 1 - 2 enemies and a half-dozen teammates, you have a valid spawn point. If there are a dozen teammates and 10 enemies, you really, REALLY want to spawn somewhere else. if there's an enemy tank and a dozen enemies swarming over a handful of blues, spawning you into that mess is really kittened up. Guess what the current system does? |

lasers plus poor spawning mechanic means all the enemies will spawn in your optimals on the right map (peak). easy 20+kdr per match sure looks balanced to me. |
