I need to know too. I was planning on switching to scouts for respec.... But then I saw that 600 shield 800 armor heavy and i was drooling... I'm confused now... :(

I'd give up an equipment slot for a low slot.
Anyone know the # of low slots? I hope the proto has 5 at least :D |

I'd probably stick with just 4 C Kin Cats- the 5th slot would be bad ass enough to let me shield tank too ;)
But with my Kin Cat habit I'd probably be powerless to resist eeeking out that last stackable bonus possible regardless of the diminishing return. No doubt I'll be asking (begging) for a special 'mollerz' minmatar proto suit with 6 low slots before long.
Marry that with some cloaking and mmm MMM! MMMMM!

So what benefit would a Gallente scout have over the Minmatar? Extra armor? Not important for a scout. |

Better scanning precision/radius, lower scan signature and probably higher stamina regen. Gallente scouts look more ideal for stealth and electronic warfare. Not to mention shield tanking looks more viable now. |

dunno about that, the minmatar suit looks far lower tech(less precision, lower radius, but also harder to track) and the minmatar are THE speed race in EVE. |
