Does movement speed have a direct corelation to straif speed and/or turn speed? Do armor plates reduce these speeds as well?
Also are stat increases by percentage due to skill applied to the dropsuit after modules or before? Same can be said to dropsuit related modules. Are they applied to the base, or to stat including skills/modules? |

Movement Speed does not change Aim/Turn speed. If you're having problems with this, I suggest getting a Keyboard and Mouse, it allows you to turn much faster, and gives you a real advantage, compared to newberries and controller-users.
Armor Plates do decrease movement speed, so I would go into shields. Shield are weeker, but easier to regen, allowing you to play in a little more fights. :)
I don't know what you mean by your 3rd question, example please? :) |

I realize armor plates decrease movement speeds, but does movement speed have a direct corelation between turn speed and/or straifing speed?
A heavy turns far slower than a scout, it also straifs far slower. Are these two speeds based on movement speeds, or are they independent? The question is basically, would adding armor plates decrease turn speed and would it decrease straifing speed? I know it decreases sprint and movement.
As for the last question:
If I get a skill that applies 5% bonus to shields, what is it using that 5% calculation on? Is it the base shield of my suit, the base + modules, the base +modules + skills?
Lets say I run a proto scout and bump my shield from 100 to 300 via complex shield extenders, does the 5% bonus from Shield Control give me 5 more shield, or 15?
Also, does the bonus to damage from weaponary apply to base, or to base + modules + other skills. For example, if I have weaponary V and AR prof I, does AR prof 1 apply its damage bonus to my weapons base damage, or the base damage with weaponary V bonus applies.
Also do complex damage modules apply their 10% bonus to the base damage, or the damage after these skills?
EDIT: based on this post it seems everything is based off the base stats of the suit, not including skills/modules.

Yes, movement has a direct correlation to strafe speed. Yes, armor plates reduce this speed as well.
Most stat increases by percentage due to skill are applied to the dropsuits and vehicles before modules. An example of this is shield control. Shield control increases the dropsuit's shield, but not the shield from extenders. If there are active mods on vehicles, like hardeners, it is usually after. As a general rule, skills are applied first, and that value is considered the new base. |
