Spreading your sp across multiple roles is rarely a good idea. |

If your focus is tanker stick to that...and then when that pilot suit somes out SOON(TM) you'll be all set.
Vehicles will be even a bigger SP investment in Uprising than they are now. |

You should only start getting into new roles when your character has around 8-10 million SP. For tankers I assume this rule changes to 10-12 million SP. |

I was thinking of doing this
Logi good for groundpound, get a few kills but mainly for support and can tank the suit pretty decent only problem is maybe weapon skills and the equipment
Plus how much have the skills changed in general, it maybe more expensive to tank now |

imo there are a few different type of logi's
dedicated logi - these are the logis that simply invest all their SP into the logi equipment, their KD tends to be ****, but they are a decent asset to heavies and the other people they are supporting. These are the guys I aim for immediately with my sniper rifle as I don't want them around picking people up and healing the heavies.
assault logi's - these guys focus on their weapons as more then their logi skills, they fight well, and can do rudimentary healing, more or less the basics stuff.
demo logi - this was the type I was, it's a niche logi, but I ran proto av grenade/locust grenade, remote mines, along with advanced hive to spam explosives.
logi's are adaptable find a style you like and go with it, don't let the preconceptions that you need to be the nearest heavies ***** force you into doing something you don't like, that's my advice to all the upcoming logi's. |

I would say yes
I pretty much use the standard BPO suit, sometimes with proto defence mods, sometimes BPO, pretty often I can get into the top 4 or the top spot with logi skills.
So for low cost or free suits I am the stop scoreer.
Also, usually just use the BPO and standard repair tool, again, very little SP or isk investment.
Also you realy need to be able to do something outside of a tank for situations when a tank is not advisable, or before you get into one, or when low on cash and need to grind it back up.
Repair tool also is helpfull for on the spot repairs (has saved at least a few shield tanks of mine), and drop uplinks and nanohives can be droped just before geting in. |

If you just want something to do as infantry when you're out of ISK for tanks, you can do fine revive/repair Logi work with a pair of milita fits. One with Nanohive+Uplink, use at start of match to seed a spawn area, then switch to one with Nano-injector+Rep tool. You can probably hit 500 WP per match pretty easily with this. No real need to spec into Logi if you're not doing it full time. |

As a Logi you rely on other people to work with you to make the most of your ability. If you play constantly with a squad you can trust, Logi is great. If not, it'll be an exercise in frustration and watching incompetent people stamp all over the gifts you're offering. |

I run a cheap (mostly Militia) Logi on my tank driver alt. Not the best for combat, but I can resupply teammates, and I can help the team set up a good position with Nanohives, then call the tank in and rack up a decent amount of WP from resupply while I'm driving around. Having a repair tool is nice on a Shield tank, because you don't have to spend PG/CPU/slots on the tank for armour repair if and when you get hit harder than intended. |

Good thing the assaults and logistics share the same suit design now. Oh, wait...
Yeah, I'm going to love being painted bright yellow so those snipers don't even have to wait for target intel to pop up. Who thought this was a good idea? I've got a bucket of yellow paint for them.

we dont know exactly what the requirements will be to get into a logi suit, its quite possable that it wont require much SP to get into the STD logi, then again its quite posable to cost an arm and a leg as well.
our only choice is to wait |

the same thing everyone does in the beginning. Get a level 2 dropsuit, then focus on core skills (Shields/Armor, Electronics/engineering, then maybe a weapon) |

Heres the thing, Logi, just like Assault, are now specializations. Specializations are 10x skills. So to even get into a STD logi type II suit is going to cost you 186k SP, on top of the 2m SP to unlock specializations. |

I was reading over some of the new suit specs. What do you guys think is the best logi suit? I think I will use Minmatar I like having the speed to get to my comrades faster but it seems to sacrifice a lot of hp. |

The best logistic suit is the one you die in. |
