Hey everybody! I'm new to dust and looking forward to getting into it. Before I start though I want to get in the best corp as possible.
A little about me: I'm a decent FPS player I have a mic I'm on mostly on the weekends I always prefer working as a team If I'm going to really get in this game then I want to have the best team possible |

You'll soon figure out that the biggest corporations are far from the "baddest" corporations, at least in the sense you are thinking. You can always join PRO or the One-Armed Bandits, but they are basically NPC corps with their size.
If you want to have a competitive gameplay experience and work as a team, you can check out 187. With us you'll get to know your corp-mates and play with other skilled players. You'll need to play a few matches with us before you're considered, but if you are interested send a message in-game and we'll see what we can do. |

Yeah well the biggest baddest corps seem to be having the least fun what with all thier FPS bravado bull crap they throw around, smack talking smaller corps because their player base is mostly closed beta guys and complaining the game is boring and what not.
However if you want a decent team, and want to get in on our corp from the foundations upwards then the Dead Six is good for you. I have no doubt you are a proficient FPS player but DUST is not your standard FPS and our corp has some exceptionally good killers.... however more so that that we have great links between our players and that makes our guys able to take on some of the more established corps and give them a fair fight. Even more so after the respec since I dropped 1 mil SP on random armour skills to see what Armour tanking was like..... point is that a lot of our guys came in casual and want to step up so being able to get back those wasted SP will be great.
Our corp is hugely active on the weekends with almost the entirety of our40-50 daily/weekly active members showing up during a 72 hour period.
If you are interested then look into the Dead Six Chat our public Channel...
though if you are serious about joining one of the many BIG BAD COrps then you will have to go through one on the training corps, make the cut over all the rest of the guys and if you shouldnt make it put up with that until the next try outs..
The Imperfects, Seraphim Initiative, Synergy, and Not Guilty are the top dogs right now so you'll have to do something special to impress them. |

Silver Arbiter, You may want to get into the best corps in dust straight away, but none of the top ten corps are going to accept someone who is, to them, an untested scrub. As a new player, itGÇÖs less them trying to impress you, and more you trying to impress them. The largest corporations in dust are not necessarily very good. A prime example is Planetary Response Organization GÇô TheyGÇÖre gigantic, and they can field full teams all the time, but the individual quality of their recruits is not very good. Fairly recently they were embarrassed when they lost a 300 mil isk bet to another group.
There is some more information that you would probably like to provide. What timezone are you in? US? EU? It is important for recruiters to know this if theyGÇÖre going to offer you a place. What role do you play? Assault? Another limit on you here is going to be your SP. As a new player, you wonGÇÖt have much, and so youGÇÖll be unable to field high quality equipment. While this will improve over time, you arenGÇÖt going to be able to join the top corps and contribute meaningfully if youGÇÖre in militia gear, and so this further reduces your chances of getting in. If youGÇÖre looking at joining such a corp, it might also be suitable to include your KDR GÇô some of them have minimums, generally 2-3.
Though you are clearly inexperienced with dust, I think you have some degree of potential. Your low SP can easily be overcome with a supportive squad with you, and combat ability can be further developed. If you would like to join a relatively large corporation then you may want to give Turalyon Plus a try. We have approximately 200 members, with a strong EvE Online wing capable of providing support. We have been around since the closed beta, with a few closed beta veterans in corp, and we have great diversity in combat roles, ranging from a particularly strong logistics wing to tankers fielding marauders. WeGÇÖre international, with more focused presences in the US and EU timezones. We are a major force in factional warfare, fighting on the Gallente side in EvE, which is currently winning. In dust, we await the introduction of planetary conquest start seriously competing. Financial support is available for our members GÇô dropship training is subsidised by the corp, for example, and there is gear replacement available for those who participate in corp battles.
The requirement to join is a microphone GÇô you have that covered. You also need a positive KDR GÇô above 1.00. If you are interested in joining us, we can squad up with you and see if youGÇÖre suitable. The corp is a tight-knit group despite our size, and provided you perform respectably, it is more important for you to fit in.
For further contact mail myself, GÇÿArkena WyrnspireGÇÖ, or GÇÿLyrith TuralyonGÇÖ. Our public channel is GÇÿTuralyonGÇÖ. The majority of people in this channel however are EvE players GÇô if we decide youGÇÖre suitable you will be invited to our main dust channel, where we run our squads from.
Should you decide we are not for you, good luck on finding a good corporation for you.

If you are looking for a group that is planning on becoming a force to be reckoned with check out the Nova Corps Marines. We are a tactical organization focused on completing the objective and working as a unit. NCM is a member corp of a well known, respected, and sometimes feared organization known as the Ishukone-Raata Enforcement Directive [I-RED]. We have plans already in motion to become a major player, not only in null-sec, but in all of New Eden.
Our CEO is an inactive member of the US Marine Corps and we are organized and led using military tactics and principles. That being said every single member of NCM is first and formost a friend. Every member of our organization is a friend to the rest, everyone knows everyone, and everyone trusts everyone. If this sounds like a group that might interest you feel free to hit me up in game or my EVE alt Crazy Captain Nemo. Our Public chat is NCM and is open to everyone interested in us and or just looking to squad up with some good people with mics.
Hope to see you on the Battlefield,
Nemo |
