I'm 110% Positive this has been asked before, but I hate the search database of this forum, so I'm not bothering to look it up. Does anyone have a good Shotgun Scout fitting? I'm aiming for something good in Skirmish (I prefer that type of battle.), but that can also be a valuable asset in Ambush OMS. I'd need something pretty cheap in SP and ISK, as I'm deleting a character to make this one, so I'm starting fresh. |

I did, and its a bit expensive SP-Wise. And if I do decide to use it (It's likely...), would you mind setting up a Corp Battle or something for me to train with? I wouldn't want to spend the SP and whatnot, just to get Proto-Stomped, or Spawnkilled.
EDIT: In fact, I've been trying to get used to that fit by using a slightly de-graded Fitting on my Logi (AKA this guy...), and I just don't think it would be the same as the actual suit... And would you recommend the 'Ranger' or the 'Spider' for the blood-thirsty? :) |

I'm not a huge fan of multiple accounts, I live in a family of 5, and my OCD prevents me from making a certain number of something. AKA: If I don't have only 5 accounts on there, I go a little crazy.
My Logi is currently using Militia-Class gear. I recently figured out that the Advanced suits don't give a ton better stats, as I still die about 5 times per game. the starter suit is free, so I just fit Demolitions stuff on there. If I use advanced suits, Instead of paying 18K x 5 per battle, I pay around 48K x 5 per battle, or something similar. Just not worth it.
And I'd rather stay in Scout Suits. Logi and Assault might be better for some frontlining stuff, but I'm not doing it for only the Shotgun, as the normal noob would. I'm a special breed of noob, and I am taking a more 'strategic' approach. I'm staying in scout suits for the speed. And the Profile Dampening that comes natural with the suit.
As for the SP refund, I already knew about that (Trying to sound as least rude as possible...). I'm making a new character because it just feels clean... Have you never made a character, looked at your fittings and skill list, and been like, "Yup. This has potential."? I just like seeing that I have a clone that's going to be one BA MFer one day. :D |

Ok, It's just personal preference, bro. There is a method to my madness. One that involves me being a cheapskate. I deleted an Assault that had basically no skills, no unique fits, no money, no SP, no anything. He was practically a new character, but with some failed suit attempts, leaving me broke, in a ditch. I wanted to switch from an Enforcer to an Arbiter, so I could have a free Scout Suit at the beginning of the game, saving me some money, instead of wasting even more SP. Now do you understand, instead of hatin' because I like a clean slate? :P
And Denak, why the Specialist? Is it because of the low CPU/PG usage? I can't remember what each variant does ATM... Other than that (A low ammo count is undesirable, I know its a Shotgun and all, but earlier I died twice with my Breach, because of reloads...), you have some really great stuff. I was hoping there was some way I could fit a Codebreaker in there somewhere, as I love Skirmish (I just think ambush has no point, where Skirmish has a clear goal, and requires something other than brute force...) and that involves hacking. A Codebreaker can make any scout a valueable asset at the start of any Skirmish because of the speed of movement, and hacking. :D |

That's not a bad suit at all, actually. Depending on price I may use it as a less expensive alternative to the Fitting I've decided to us, just in case I get in a battle with some very skilled players, and I don't wanna waste all that money. :P
What I don't understand is your survivability rating, even with the shield extender. I use only 1 Enhanced SE, and I somehow managed to last a full minute in a firefight against 2 people with no backup. It might've been my Bunny Hopping though. And I only killed one before the other got annoyed of wasting AR ammo and pulled out an SMG. |

I've recently been running a couple suits, one depending on opposing skill level, or just how much money I want to spend in a match:
I'm running a Starter Arbiter with a Shotgun fit into it. Its a big price jump between that and my Type-1 that costs 26.5K...
Is there a skill the passively decreases CPU and/or PG? The suit I'm trying to use is missing REs and AV Nades (The Shotgun Ranger), because I don't have near enough CPU, and can't afford the SP for the A-Series. :P
And I totally understand the Heavy Hunting. I had a killstreak involving 90% Heavies for an entire game, just to get shot down by a Logi. That's why we Logi's rock. :D
EDIT: Oh, ok Snap. Sorry, I did misunderstand. xD |

Oh ok thanks for the info! :D
I'm thinking of making a 'Hacker' suit, that will make me an early riser in Skirmish maps. Maybe a Enhanced-Complex KC, and a Complex Codebreaker on a Scout Suit? Also, memorizing locations is a good idea, I've only remembered a couple locations for Skim Junction (My fav map, although I suck at it...).
And especially thanks for the skill info, I need to lower my CPU by a crapload... Ok, I'm off. |

I don't spend money on a game 90% of the time. Much less one that's about to sell all my assets... But this thread is more for newbies now, as I have a fit. xD |

I read that, actually (Tried to look for more fitting, thought 'Why not?'), but you know my memory. :P |
