Technically lasers are particle material, you can have them doing one set of damage to shield. Then a low spec damage to armor. We could get into a whole scientific discussion, but chose one the (shield) or (armor) where the laser does more dmg based on lvl and skills. Personally, I think it should be shields, it could cut those assault guys down to size, to leave them open to attack from others.
Mass Drivers - Reduce slash damage and slash area need to be cut way down. Or at least take the sights off them. So it's hip fire only. There is never splash damage for the shooter. A delay in the fire would be decent. Or changing site for distance.
Optional sights for weapons, that don't need / or need skills to operate. Multiple sights could add more skills books needed for people. Click to zoom for snipers. Red dot, iron sights, 3x, 5x zooms.
Scrambler Pistols - Distance and damage needs to be modified. Distance should lower damage.
There are a few other things that others have sent in, so this was just my ideas.
You are way off on both the laser rifle and the MD. Lasers aren't particle based, and no one, and I mean no one, uses the sights on the MD.
Really, if any weapon deserves to be nerfed, it's the standard line of ARs.
Get away from the AR, try out these weapons, then come back when you are informed on the weapons. , once you see a majority of the playerbase adopting anything other than the AR - only then do you have permission to come here and whine about whatever that weapon may be.

Scrambler Pistols are balanced. Their range has been properly reduced (you have no idea how ridiculous it used to be). As Buster said, no one uses the MD sights, it's a decoration.
Weapon mods, like additional sights, etc. Are coming later.
Actually, Buster. Laser (light) displays Wave-Particle duality. So yes, by form of operation, a laser rifle could be considered a particle weapon.
OK, but only in the sense that everything can be described as particles then (or waves for that matter). I don't think that's what he meant :) |

I've used every last one of these weapons. This gives them more of a challenge. Especially the Laser.
None of your ideas are needed. The laser isn't OP, and it has plenty of challenge. It so happens, though, that playing ambush puts most fights right at the optimal situation for lasers. lasers are really only good right at that 80m-100m sweet spot. The viziam maybe, but I haven't specced that high in to lasers to know, and I don't go off calling something OP unless I've used it a lot.
