Thought it would then allow me to get the SP that I should have gotten if I had turned it on. It does not do this and wonder if I need to have it on before I start getting points for the week or if I had remembered before I capped it would have given me my x.5?
Posted this in bug section of forums but wondering if anyone else has run into this and how others feel how this should work.
Belzee, take it from me (someone who has done extensive research on the subject) and ill explain it as thoroughly as I can. This is NOT a bug, Now I cant say this is intended, but its not a bug. The system works as follows...... (keep in mind these are all numbers ive pulled from dev threads explaining the system).
Ever since they restablished the 'weekly' cap The "cap" was set at 190,400 SP WITHOUT boosters. This number is important because of how it comes into play with the equations. As a side note we gain about 200,000 passive skill points per week (give or take a bit). When you apply the 50% booster this "cap" does not increase, just the amount you gain from the cap increases. This means the following....
The booster does not increase your cap by 50% it just adds to 50% of whatever you make weather you have hit your cap or not. In short, the 50% extra SP you gain each match DOES NOT add up to your 190,400 SP cap, only the original "un-boosted" number is totaled.
So for example you played one skirmish match and made an unboosted amount of 10k SP and an additional 5k from the 50% booster. The 10k adds up to your "weekly cap total" while the 5k is disregarded as something "extra" (the 5k doesn't count towards your cap).
This creates the illusion that your cap was raised, but in reality it wasn't, its just that extra 50% doesn't count towards your cap. So what does that mean? how does that involve your question? Well.... YOU already hit your weekly 190,400 SP cap, meaning you have no extra Cap "boost"
To give an example of this.... say you were already 90,000 SP into your weeks cap before you activated your booster, that 90,000 sp is lost in that you cant ever boost it again, however the remaining 100,000 SP will be boosted from then on. So yeah.....
do you have any other questions?? if so just PM me in game and ill try to explain it to you verbally.
For clarification: Each week.... if you have passive and active boosters running its possible to power out ROUGHLY 500k SP give or take 50k. That's a rough estimate as its difficult to say "exactly" how much SP is gained passively in a 1 hour period. |
