Based on the other concept art that I have seen, they are more likely mobile weapons platforms (sort of like a mobile bunker/pillbox). If you look at IWS' old thread, it will lower itself down, extend the armor and extend the weapons.

MAVs i think they said and tbh it would fit the look Troop transport with a gun on it for defence, multi wheeled so hopefully move at a decent pace with sufficent defences From the concept art I saw, they will function differently than tanks. The main turret will not be functional until the vehicle is 'deployed' which would mean it is in its bunker mode.
