I would only ask if they intend to expand it to other regions soon enough. The expansion of planetary conquest in low-sec will depend greatly on how many people are participating and fighting over the planets. We know we want to see lots of fighting, but we want people to have a chance at owning a district. So when we expand it will just depend on how many people are playing it.
I'm glad to hear that new regions can be opened up without waiting for a major release.
What if we wind up with a miniature Blue Donut (MH is kinda donut-shaped), or even a slug fest- but only between a small number of corps/alliances?
How rarified does PC have to get (how small of a number of different alliances holding districts) before we see new regions? |

I'm not sure why, but it wasn't broken out as its own video. I had to click around in the six-hour stream to find it.
The retrospective was neat. |

CCP Eterne wrote:Hey guys, here's the official word from CCP Jian about what the differences between 5.14 and 5.6 are. Here it is: CCP Jian wrote:On 5.14
The 3 new weps - plasma cannon - flaylock pistol - scrambler rifle
New game mode: Domination
New terrain and battlegrounds
Everything else is 5/6... As for proper patch notes, I am looking into that matter now. We tend to release patch notes on patch day, however. As for the dev blog on assets, I am trying to get it put out today or tomorrow. However, a ton of people are traveling today after FanFest, so I can't promise it. It's been totally hectic here the past week or so and some of the things we absolutely should have done by now have been missed. I apologize for that.
So does this mean that the Starmap and Clone Packs for PC are live as of 12:00 GMT (or end of extended downtime) on 20130506? |

To save me from wasting time on that horrible thing known as twitchtv.
If I could remember, I'd tell you (I'd already have posted it). Sorry.
I THINK it was around the 2:30 mark, but not positive. |

CCP FoxFour wrote:Vaerana Myshtana wrote:But it would be very easy to change it. It would be, it however is the best fit. I have a document around somewhere in which I describe every region in the game and give a reason why it should or should not be considered, if it is considered why it should or should not be the chosen one. Molden Heath won out. That is a LONG document. :(
I was just tweaking you- harkening back to this: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=677452#post677452
Anyhow, I figured you or someone else over there had sunk a lot of time into deciding. I can imagine it took an awful lot of work to get there.
Any chance we might get eyes on that document? It would be very useful for those who want to think strategically. |

Nullabor, you, and a good few others seemed to enjoy having a laugh at my expense... :/ That bit during the EVE keynote, yea, I was in no way shape or form supposed to random him or pod him. Podding apparently caused an error message to appear. >.<
That's okay. The EVE keynote was absolutely filled with pods- starting with CCP_Hellmar. |

My understanding is that you buy clones WHEN you attack for PC. I'm pretty sure he meant to say that PC is on the 14th.
That's what I'm trying to confirm.
Do we attack planets on the 6th or the 14th? |

Reav Hannari wrote:CCP FoxFour wrote:May 6th is when Planetary Conquest launches. Yeah, this is bugging me. 1. You refund all our skill points and cash out most if not all of our equipment. 2. You give us new dropsuits but not the weapons. 3. ATTACK! 4. Now, take a breather and figure out those new suits and spend points to set them up properly. 5. Yeah, you changed the vehicles too. One week later... 5. Oh, here's the new weapons that many of you are saving your points for. I'm very much looking forward to Uprising but the roll out seems like it was planned by a drunk person.
Well, if it was planned during the Fanfest week... it probably was.
Seriously, though-
I think Reav is expressing a very valid concern. I know I've seen the same concern echoed all over the boards.
It sounds like people would much rather have clone packs unavailable until the 14th so that they have a little time to view the timers and get their money together. As Reav said, it also lets people get their gear on. |

I'm all for punishing offensive players. Especially the ones who eat chips into the microphone...
Aggressive CHARACTERS on the other hand... They should get lootz. |

Well, you knew Planetary Conquest is coming for a month or so with some estimated prices. You should have already have the ISK for that ;) If not, then, well, tough luck ;)
Honestly, I was thinking more in terms of the Wallet Transactions report than the total amount of money.
Once that is in place, it makes it easier for CEOs and Directors to hound their members for money, but since it doesn't come until May 6th, the corps may not be able to plan their total takeover strategy.
"Can we buy two packs or three?" - That kind of thing. |

Klivve Cussler wrote:Yes, I understand that. However, in the short term, since we can't leave our room except to fight, and exactly what system we are in between missions is irrelevant to everything except local chat, I'd be willing to pay AUR to move out of my standard Amarr Mercenary Quarters in the Amarr Station to:
- Caldari Business Suites
- Gallente Luxury Personal Appartments
- Minmatar Tribal Communal Blocks
Likewise, someone on a Caldari, Gallente, or Minmatar station could purchase a Amarr Meditative Sanctuary The rooms were originally supposed to be upgradeable, and the ones we have are the low-rent versions. Unfortunately, the capsuleers got their knickers in a twist about playing "Space Barbies" and the feature was never implemented. Still the groundwork is there, lore-wise, to have interchangeable quarters in the stations.
Sadly, the Gallente Luxury Apartments aren't all they're cracked up to be. We're working on a class action suit against CreoDron for selling us couches we can't sit on, beds that are too small to lay on, and a TV that shows nothing but the Home Shopping Network.
Yeah, my hope is that CCP is continuing development of "Avatar-based gameplay" (the new phrase for Walking-In-Stations) because they realize that it is a necessity nowadays.
The five players who actually thought it was just about "Space Barbie" and not intrigue, smuggling, etc. are not a good reason to abandon development of the entire program. Most of us were angry not about the concept, but about the lack of execution.

Thank you. But does this rule out that the planetary conquest feature will be released into FW space and will stay only a standard lowsec feature?[/quote]
Last we heard, the plan was for us to get FW fights as merc contracts.
So, yes. For the time being, FW space still belongs to the empires and is thus unavailable for PC. |
