Fanfest is where they should of told people stuff!!!!!
They didn't reveal anything yet.What's the new skill tree look like? how do new skills work? What is basic suits? How much damage do the new weapons do? What PG/CPU do they need? What's the module layout on the new minmatar scout, how is it different than the gallente one? Whats the different between a prototype scout and a prototype light basic suits since the market lists both of them in the dust finals.
What changes are being made? What's the new map? I'm guessing they didn't show it becuase they didn't start yet and they are going to rush the next 18 days to build one from concept art. Or maybe it'll just be an old map with something new. I don't know I listen to the dust keynote *which had 2 hours of content cut* and I don't know anything about the release coming out in 7 days. It's a kittening joke at this point. |

The Fanfest isn't about CCP telling us info on the upcoming expansions and patches, that is just an addition because if all CCP wanted out of fanfest was to give us infornation, they could have just written a devblog or made a podcast which wouldn't be so expensive. The Fanfest is organized so EVE and DUST players can come together in a single location from all over the world to meet their friends and the devs, plus just have a good time playing games and drinking Quafe. And frankly, what does it actually matter if the info comes out two months or one day beforehand? So you can go back to grinding as much SP pubstombing in ambush matches as possible? Sometimes you should just give a big middle finger to efficiency and just have fun, y'know?
Wierd they told us everything coming out in the new expansion for eve online coming out in A MONTH. They showed everything. Each feature one by one. How it works, what it does , and so on. They spent two hours showing everything. And it's still a month away. Dust talked more stuff at fanfest about whats coming out in 2 years, not next week. Fanfest dust keynote was exacttly for telling it's playerbase whats coming out soon. The devs even told us the blackout was due to fanfest..... |

So your general expectation is we will get patch notes after release? Are you ok with that? |

I beg you. seriously :/ They post the patchnotes the day before or on the day itself, as they want to include last second changes and sometimes they postpone features at the last second because of deployment issues, so they'll be as current as possible.
Eve does that too, they release the patch notes 2 weeks before an expansion, and then add changes to the patch notes in green.... |
