Serious question that deserves a serious answer. AURUM is probably the one thing that can get people to do pretty much anything in this game. It will be interesting if people could post contracts using it, or even buy clones for PC. |

I always assume not directly.
Once a player market is up, like PLEX, I assume you can buy something like a booster, sell it for ISK and use that ISK however you like. Probably the closest you'll get to direct AUR is putting AUR items in the contract payment, but not the AUR itself. |

It's not actually a "horrible" idea. Why should the game stop people from shelling out AURUM in order to fuel their PC ambitions. For some members of the community, it's probably the only way they could ever hope to weaponize the top level players in order be a major player in PC.

... I agree. League of Legends has tons of people paying for RP because Riot Games entices them by giving them free RP once in a while. When you get a taste of the good life, it's pretty tempting. |

I don't know about pure AUR Contracts, but I do plan to use AUR to pay players in a wide range of tasks(ether in AUR itself or in the items that can be bought with it) once payer trade and transfers take place.
Just for an idea of what IGÇÖm talking about, Militia Submachine Gun are 11800 AUR right now, I hold over 100 of these which is worth over 1 mill in AUR total. Now if CCP take those from me May 6th and give me the refund in AUR then thatGÇÖs what I would get. If not then I would still sale them on the market later and be able to use that ISK to buy the other AUR items or any item on the market as well.

You should never be able to trade AUR directly, that way it's like a pay to win the trade wars, who's gonna sell/buy in ISK when you can get AUR that sells as ISK AND special stuff?
I'm quite sure that the flow will be RLMONEY->AUR->ISK/items and i'm not even sure you'll be able to convert ISK/items back into AUR. |

Well in EVE you can buy/sell AUR Coins for ISK, who really knows what CCP plans to do with it. |

you can only trade in plex for some aurum, and buy clothes with that aurum. you can't do anything else with aurum in eve atm. |

Imagine a aurum funded battle. The battlefield would be crazy intense with ish load of proto suits, tanks, dropships and only the greatest dust players up against eachother. They need to make this happen along with spec cam! |

Yeah, it will always have to be run through some kind of AUR to ISK conversion. Otherwise you just end up with a situation where you might as well have players giving each other cash to try to win Dust. Like in Russia. |

This is true, but the fact of the matter is that it is tradable and saleable. CCP does plan to allow players to sale any AUR item on the market, from boosters to dropsuits.

This maybe true and anyway you put it a player could create the same effect of paying a player with AUR.
