Uprising is coming out on may 6th. This should include everything from the new terrain, weapons, PC, domination mode, etc.
On may 14th, there will be an 'event' to mark the launch, called the "Templar Event." CCP announced this in a rountable that wasn't on the stream, and I don't want to spoil it before they make an official devpost. But with this event, there will be a few new gorgeous suit and weapon variants being made available, as well as (I /think/) an event specific map setting.
Like I said. I could be wrong here, but this is how I understand it. Wait for the devpost on the templar event, because it's completely bad-ass. Weren't the Amarr Templar suits n weapons n uplink an exclusive for the Collectors Edition box set ? |

Weren't the Amarr Templar suits n weapons n uplink an exclusive for the Collectors Edition box set ? Edited: or maybe that's the BPOs, they could give some BPCs I guess. Are they confirmed to be "exclusive" in the collector's edition? And is it confirmed that they're the only new suit variants that will be coming? Yeah I'm not sure, that's why I put the edit in ... was just the way they were promoting it, it seemed like they were an exclusive item but I'd have to watch the keynote again to see what they said.
As I edited above, they may be exclusive in that they're BPOs ... but it would be a shame to be getting 'exclusive' BPOs of an item in September of something that was given out as BPCs just for logging in to an event (most likely)
Have to see what this Templar event turns out to be, we're only speculating. |

Not like anyone couldn't play the game for months now anyways with everything carrying over, and Uprising hitting early. Though I'd sort of like it if they released a retail disc version, perhaps make it $40 and give us some cool goodies and AUR. Though that might be confusing for people who don't know you can play it for free.
Also those Templar Amarr blueprints in the EVE Collector's Edition doesn't make much sense. Why give a code for a seperate game? I'd guess most who get it don't play Dust, and many who want it don't play EVE. Oh yes, I expect a fair amount of ebay selling and give-a-ways coming up. Hopefully there are other ways to get it. Given enough prompting by customers, hopefully they'll provide the means to sell your unwanted ingame items through the market, either from Eve side for for unwanted suits etc. or DUST side for unwanted ships.
I'll be keeping everything to use or spin in the hanger :-) or stand on my computer desk with a bunch of wireless dongles plugged in the back :-)) etc. |
