http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/04/25/has-dust-514-missed-its-golden-opportunity
This article from the gaming press spotlights some of the concerns that many of us share about this eternally endless beta...
Sadly, IGN was one of the biggest early supporters of DUST 514, but they definitely smell trouble as do others.
I still have hope for May 6th, but will it be enough? |

Calling IGN "press" is being overly generous.

Sorry. I don't care what kind of approval/disapproval rating IGN gives for Dust. I don't trust IGN for anything especially after they sold their souls to EA and maybe Activision thus allowing competitors to manipulate the reviews of games that are competing with their own products or services. |

Heck, I wish that EA or Activision was involved with this game, because if either company was, it would be DONE by now. |

Done and ruined for the sake of profits because then they will force TRUE pay-to-win items into Dust. So no. |

And it would be abandoned by now.

PS:
EA hates CCP because not only was EA insulted by Eve Online's success (after initially thinking it would fail) it was also insulted by CCP's offer to the players who were leaving one of EA's old games. |

PPS:
EA has consistently been awarded by the masses as THE WORST COMPANY IN THE GAMING INDUSTRY in terms of how they handle things.
EDIT:
If you think John D. Rockefeller was a douche back during the pre-WWII days, EA can prove to be worse. |

Eve Online has technically been in "beta" for 10 years. Sorry, but IGN got another thing wrong.
EDIT:
Oh you mean consoles! Still, just because a game is in beta for so long doesn't mean it's crap. |

Of course may 6th it won-¦t be enough.
That-¦s why this is an ever changing game. Because we aim for more, it will never be enough. It will grow, it will expand, it will interact, it will surprise, it will expand, it will amaze.
It wil lnever be enough.
That-¦s why i love it. |

EA is awesome Activision is a gift to gamers everywhere. And IGN deserves to win many awards for their professional journalistic coverage of the gaming industry.

By the way, I'm not a total fanboi. I can be critical of CCP at times such as the fact that I'm disappointed that cloaking won't be around for Uprising as I was soooo looking forward to that only to have my hopes crushed by CCP.
I just hate IGN, EA, and Activision in general because... well... I don't trust them after what they did. |
