Obviously we did, because what people were expecting were :numbers: and hard facts, not demonstrations and announcements (we knew about these before Fanfest through - gasp - dev communication). Keynotes by definition do not cover everything, their purpose is to summarize.
People were expecting presentation/roundtable content when it's a keynote. It's like complaining that someone had a biased opinion in their article when the article was an opinion piece. Keynotes are the vegetables, presentations are the meat, roundtables are dessert. You want meat? Well now you know where to look.

Peoples expectations are well damn.....
Personally i think there are enough changes espcially the galaxy map to continue building an awsome game.
Also this isnt a game thats launch, collect $$$ from sales & forget game, while the next itteration half a year from now is made with 80% of the previous versions code, thrown in new graphics, tweak guns and slap a 2 ontop of it and a new feature or 4 that is nothing more then a gimick.
Voila whole NEW game and the good part is in 6 months from now you get to do it all over again!!! So much awsome in a 60$ box each time...
Just lol....
If Eve is a small inclenation of what we can expect, then well people whine & ***** way to much.
ps: i do agree that i was getting bored of this current build, especially the FPS drop issues, hopefully they are gonna be gone now with the graphics update and thats all i cared about really. |

This.
They promised us spreadsheets after Fanfest, so I'm willing to give them at least a couple of days to get sober and post the hard facts.
Fanfest has never really been about hard facts, it's been about OMGWOW! and the hard facts come later.
That was part of the problem with Incarna. The hard facts were WAY WAAAAAYY less impressive than Fanfest had suggested. We had been expecting intrigue and secret missions inside stations and stuff and we got Space Barbie.
Space Barbie without even the ability to go clubbing and show off our $70 monocles. |

There is a big diffrence between being bored and trying to shoot down the game at each oppertunity, ive also always been a fan of eve and with what most other companies have been putting out as MMO's the last decade is laugable.
Each time you post something it sounds like those Three Double-A Batteries are up your *ss.
ps: you don't even get what i was saying. |

The keynote, I think, was not the problem. The thing that made me a little grumpy was the hype machine. They were the ones saying it was going to be an epic info drop. That is why ppl can say "that was not epic" only because they were told to expect one. |
