I'd like to see how the number is calculated.

Back in beta I felt the initial prices were good, and that increase in the general prices levels was bad and would never really work. Been in the back of my mind all this time, but when I hear the numbers it made me realize this is already ******, even if I never bothered to do the math again. Basically FPS-style merc battles are high turnover of ISK, and normal play ISK/hr between the two need to be much lower. Currently it's about 30M/hour, while DUST is about 600K/hour. I'd say a 1/100th would be more fitting.

So basically the average is not significant, the 600 trillion ISK number is so high that there would need to be an order of magnitude less non-AFK ISK coming in to change the argument.

Except you need to consider that there's a _LOT_ of players who try it out for a day, or a week or two and then quit. I'd say cut the 2.1 million mercenary number down by... first 20% (cause of same-account alts, a very low estimate compared to EVE due to the nature of DUST players), then consider that probably 80% or more just quit since it's a "bad game lol". We're looking at more like between 2 and 3 billion per dedicated player thus far.

Suggesting the average player made ~280mil ISK is pure insanity. CCP is suggesting the average player who tried dust ended up playing 1,400 matches (at 200k payout a match). Do they think we are that dumb? If you want to value looted items then I could see it as a bit less crazy. A dropship loot or proto tank can easily be 5-10x what you get paid for the match, but I still really have a hard time thinking Dust generated 600 trillion ISK.

I dk what I made if I count my battle loot, the 340mil was my lifetime pay from matches. (The stuff I lost in battle + The items I've paid for in my inventroy/Current ISK)
