basically, what I am asking for is a "simulation" gametype mode that doesn't cost any ISK and offers no ISK or SP in the games and you can purchase and use anything such as vehicles, special modules you couldn't normally equip, and weapons that you may look into getting in the future but want to try first.
How Simulation Mode would work:
A Private Match, generally invite only and used for internal clan training and tryout of new things before buying them.
Simulation mode can have player vs player modes as well as PVE play for quick test trials of weapons and vehicles.
Different maps could be picked at will instead of random.
There would be a neocom option, as well as a special chair inside your character room to activate the simulations.
As stated before, no ISK or SP would be generated from the games, nor stats such as K/D changed. |

Wow. We haven't had this request in over a month. At least two weeks anyway.
That is to say we have had it a lot. As in many times. Maybe even many, many times.
Some months it was almost constantly requested.
Each new wave of New Berries thinks of this highly original idea. I am not saying it is a bad idea however. So don't get me wrong.
I probably suggested this too, odds are. Of course, I was silly enough to think flying a Drop Ship shouldn't be learned in battle. But, DUST corrected my wrong headed thinking because the only way to learn anything in DUST is in battle.
Reading the Training Ground Forums can reduce some of the cost but death is the best educator down here in the DUST. |

@KalOfTheRathi
Well, flying a dropship is different from how to use it battle. There are many players that never flew a dropship in their lives and want to learn the basics of flying. But they don't want to risk trying it in a battlefield. The first time I flew a dropship in the last build it didn't end well as I kept losing my dropship not to pathetic flight handling but mainly to enemy swarm launchers or expert forge gunners. I didn't mind the loss because the dropships I had were from salvage and I had like over 20 at the time. But there are players out there who are not so fortunate to have such free derpships so they feel less inclined to practice it like I did. |
