The more I think about the drones in the artwork posted a few days ago, the more I like them.
I want to see swarms of those things deployed, 20-50 at a time.
Huge floods of hundreds of third party drones...
But then that may be too tough for little Timmy's precious KDR and I start seeing phantom "I don't like difficulty, etc" posts. What was a fun addition becomes nerfed into fairy sprinkles.

The drones look awesome, but it seemed in some concept art like the light version had the ever OP lazer rifle, the medium had the ever OP HMG, and the heavy version had the ever OP forge gun |

The barrel on the Light one was clearly that of an Assault Rifle. Open up a pic of an AR next to that and compare the two. You'll see it. |

Yeah but superior numbers are hard to fight. Three different size drones, I hope they pop like zits and have goo in them.
