The game will run in lower res but will run noticibly smoother.

It is also possible to increase performance by removing some settings such as turning PS Upscaler and PS Smoothing OFF (this uses some CPU)
See this guide: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AN28MNDj6E
Dont know exactly by how much this improves your experience, however it is very easy to change these setting!

If you're having frame-rate issues, I feel bad for you son - I run on PC so frame-rate ain't one.
Wait... Dust is on the PS3...
Well, dammit... I suppose I'm in the same boat as you guys - time to try this trick...
Addendum: By the way, playing this game on a 54" 1080p television is bollocks... |

Don't have framerate issues enough to worry.
Also don't have SSD.
Prefer higher resolution over minimal framerate increase.
If you're having issues, this is a nice temporary fix. Hopefully it won't be necessary for Uprising. |

Just tested, huge improvement. Might just let it stay 480, the game is seriously just so much finer looking. |

The game will run in lower res but will run noticibly smoother. Good find! Nice to know that won't be necessary for too much longer. Except those that care, care mostly about the game play being improved, as well as ironing out the bugs having to do with graphics glitches and frame rate issues. I don't care about amazing graphics. I want what's known about physics to be followed. And right now, LAVs defy physics completely. |

Also I discovered defragging your PS3 harddisk helps

Do both the "restore file system" and "rebuild database" |
