Just to let you know, right now there is really no reason to go beyond racial HAV lvl 1 unless you want marauder/enforcer HAV's because there is no bonus per level of the skill for the HAV's.
So with that in mind, the core skills for the HAV's currently would be the best things to invest in with your SP when you are thinking about either amarr or minmatar vehicles. Although, you could say the turret skills would be mostly useless as you might want to use the new auto cannon based large turrets, or pulse laser turrets whenever they add something like that for the new racial vehicles. While I wouldn't say the current turret skills would be a waste, they would just be more options for you with the other HAV's.
Maybe down the road when CCP gets around to adding a per level bonus for the HAV's skills it will matter, but its not that big of an investment when most of the skills are core skills that will help with just about any other vehicle. |

That would be awesome if they did, but so far there is no evidence of that. Even with the crystal ball of sisi and all of the changes on there now there is only so much that can be figured out and on there so far it has not been added yet. |

I can't imagine how they could have not thought of this. Nor can I think of a single good reason not to afford players this convenience. Perhaps someone should ask a dev at FanFest. Really though for anyone opposed, what are the arguments against such a specific reallocation ?
I haven't figured out why they haven't added them in yet either. Unless they intend to go another route with it, I don't know. And I'm not really opposed, I just don't care. To be honest, from my understanding the reason they are doing the refund of SP this time is because of major changes to the skill tree. And in the future it wouldn't be so much as a major change as it would just be in addition to it. Which is fine as far as I can see, honestly it shouldn't take more than a few months to mostly max out your primary role anyways if you have already been playing for the last few months, then any other skills after that are just opening up new avenues of game play.
As it stands now, with my current SP I can mostly max out my current build with core skills for vehicles and now I'm just working on getting a little bit more so I can put together a very basic infantry build for when I'm just slumming it solo. |

Just about all is right, just looked 30 minutes ago and still no racial HAV per level bonus. If nothing else it would just be for uniformity with the other skills out there I would think.
Edit: Although there is a bonus per level for Enforcer HAV's, which we will just have to wait and see what kind of stats they have. |
