I have so many fittings now and I primarily use three suits, I would have more but it's difficult to change fitting at a supply depot with 20+ fits. I can imagine there are people out there with hundreds more too...
I propose a folder/organisation system where you could organise fittings by custom criteria or folders like you do with files on a computer.
Personally I would like 3 folders, one fore each game mode (ambush, skirmish and ambush OMS) or even based on the current map or even how it's built. Suggestions welcome! |

Why not just sort by the type of dropsuit? Militia Scout Dropsuit Militia Assault Dropsuit Standard Scout Type I Standard Heavy Type I So on and so forth... cuz i'm a generalist, specialized in generalization i say. I have everything except heavy dropsuits at lv1. I've got around 30 fits. Impossible to sort them out now... Good idea, I like it! Perhaps when you click on the dropsuit it opens up the folder as an extension? Like when you use the directory on a PC or mac. |

Cross Atu wrote:As stated above this has been mentioned before, but +1 to this idea.
Also increasing the total number of fittings possible would be beneficial. This is a feature of long term value as the longer players are in game the more different roles they'll have skilled into and thus the more fits they'll need to actually use that SP. Better for CCP to get this implemented now than to wait for a time crunch when it's needed to avoid degrading the player experience in game.
0.02 ISK Cross Even sort them via logi/assault/heavy/scout or with the new system as light/medium/heavy. |

Beld Errmon wrote:Use numbers in front of the suit name, my commonly used suits have 01 through to 03 in front of them, suits I rarely use tend to be 04 and up, it basicly gives you folders. Yeah but for the suit you rarely use that you need in the heat of battle the current system is a huge pain. Take my forge un for example, I use it every 6-10 matches, but it's still below all my other fits because I use the other ones more often.
Either way, there are many methods to sorting fittings and what we have right now just doesn't cut it. |

Rigor Mordis wrote:Having folders is a great idea. I don't see why they would need set criteria. Just let people create a max # of folders and they can name them whatever they want. Just like their fittings. I think 10 folders would be more than enough for most people.
For instance, my folders would look like this:
Speed- -Scout SG CB -Scout SMG DU
Anti-Armor- -B series SL RX -B series SL PX -Assault AA - starter
Assault- -B series AR NHV -Breach AR DU -Type 1 AR NHV -Laser -Assault - Starter
Sniper- -B series SNP NHV -Scout SNP -Scout CHG SNP -Arbiter
Downgrade- All fits I've out-skilled but still use to save ISK
While I do believe that folders would help, I also realize that it would be at least 1 more click until I'm ready to go. I think just like a PC directory, that one should be able to leave fits OUT of folders. This to have 1 ready to go. Exactly this. I would have 4 main fits ready to go, one general and the rest specialist that I only ever need mid battle. All of my other fits would be in folders. |
