We have some AV, we have anti-personal, now for some anti-installation weapons.
I propose an Anti-Installation Grenade and an Anti-Installation Remote Explosive. We have all been in matches where camping occurs on CRUs. The ability to take out a CRU , Supply Depot, or Turret through the use of a specifically designed weapon would be nice.
For Anti-Installation Grenades: Damage equal to approximately 1/2 the total hitpoints of the highest HP installation and able to seek out installations like AV grenades
For Anti-Installation Remote Explosives: Attaches to the side of the installation and deals a total kill on the installation using one charge. Detonates if installation gets hacked. Blows up towards the installation, does not damage mercs standing beside it, with a controlled explosion rather than in a radius.

Swarm Launchers are pretty good at bumping off turrets if you spec into them. |

Yes to both also Forge guns work well too. My proposal is an addition to what we already have, why would you want the other team to have objective X when it can blow up after it has been taken from your hands? |

Where is "unlike" button? i can singlehandedly take out installations with 2 forge shots, or even a pack of standard swarms, i have the felling RE's do the same job, so why propose a new grenade made SPECIFICALLY for taking out turrets? |

There are a lot of ways to play gentlemen but this is something that is lacking in the demolitions category of weaponry. You all argue that a forge gun is a big enough blast of firepower but why make the job of blowing up an enemy turret so limited as to say only a forge gunner can do it? I say grenade bouquets and remote explosives for everyone who has an equipment or grenade slot on their suit.
How many times have you, as a Heavy, walked by an enemy turret and wanted to blow it up but only had an HMG equipped, not a forge gun? I would rather have the ability to control who hacks a turret by blowing it up from a RE or grenade rather than wait for someone to show up with a forge gun. Kind of like when a tank hits the field and you carry AV grenades, your squad mate has a nanohive and you stand on it to chuck the grenades at the tank. No waiting just action.
In fact if I had to choose between a RE designed for objectives or for an Anti Installation grenade I would go AI nade. Save the forge gun for counter sniping snipers in the hills and let everyone destroy installations equally well. |

Dropships, tanks, and LAVs all have a specific grenade. Turrets, CRUs and supply depots have none. Specialization is something that new eden prides itself in. Why stop at AV grenades? Ever wonder why the enemy in a skirmish has taken over the map 60 seconds after you capture everything? The CRU got hacked 9 times out of 10. Are you sure you don't want a Remote Explosive to take out the CRU when it gets hacked? A drop uplink would probably work just as well as the CRU to spawn out a mass of enemies but they have limitations on the number of clones that can use them. With the CRU the whole team can spawn out of it to take over the map that you just fought so hard for. |

1: Regular RE's would become useless because people would camp CRU's etc. with these.
2: CRU's are (although people think otherwise) suppose to last taking heavy damage. Putting these in doesn't help that. Same for supply depots. |

Not a problem, just want a few more explosive devices. In fact I think my Baloch does a nice job killing turrets and costs nothing. |

Regular remote explosives useless? Not likely sir, they still work good to take out infantry.

It was tried previously but removed for reasons that I can't remember right now. Would like to see a redesign of these to make it worth training into REs. Yes people would camp them but people would also camp an objective too, picture an ambush with a CRU and tell me it's any different. This is where "no you can't have it because kaboom" would be nice.
Maybe make them only powerful enough that you need 2 or 3 to kill a CRU or Supply Depot. That way it's not just run around and mine all the objectives.
I will also add that at present we have no "Objective Specific" weapons. All the above mentioned weapons that people use to destroy CRUs, Turrets and Supply Depots have other intended purposes. |

I brought back the idea of anti-installation weapons mostly due to some experiences with vehicle pilots that I have had the opportunity to talk to. I don't find that the installations are killing clones but rather the dropships, tanks, and lavs that cost so much isk. Yes, that is the reason for turrets to begin with, but where is the counter to it for a pilot?
Have the infantry been majorly butt-hurt from turrets? Its rare to see a kill-feed that says Blaster Turret when not accompanied with a Soma, Sica, or Sagaris as well. New Eden's economy is based on the destruction of items in battle and the construction of replacements. I can hardly believe someone would argue to limit the destruction of something like a turret or CRU or even a supply depot when it can provide the team that destroys it a tactical advantage.

It takes me about 2 seconds to blow up turrets. about 30 for supply depots, and a minue for CRU's there not that hard to take out, and those numbers are with a blaster.
