Are people QQ'ing about something which does not exist? Do they even know what they're on about?
My game goes along in fits and starts, sometimes when I'm running everything on screen freezes for a second then jerks me back into place. This is a hiccup between me and the server and then it tries to figure out my position and places me back there. This is even more so apparent when scaling rocks and cliffs, then it has a seizure.
As for frame rate drops, where? where are they? I'm not shooting somebody and then all of a sudden then game goes into slow-mo. I experience no frame rate drops whatsoever.
I have a terrible internet connection but this game would barely be tickling the PS3 when compared to God of War 3 which runs fine with no noticeable frame rate drops (from what I can remember).
So either this issue affects a slight few people or people don't know what they're talking about and are calling lag ''frame rate drops''.
Sound off. |

Sound off.[/quote] just because you don't have the issue doing mean it doesn't exist. just because you never been somewhere doesn't mean that place is not there. your making no sense. |

Another Heavy SOB wrote:Trust me it happens, most know the difference from server lag to FPS drop. I usually only get it on the map with the giant anti-ship cannon, I used to experience it often on the map with the railgun installation on the roof of B, sorry I don't know the official names of these two. I was under the impression that it was a memory leak issue. In my experience the first minute or so is fine then the FPS drop hits like a ton of bricks, and usually does not affect everyone in the squad. Again I've only had this issue on those two maps.
How does GOW3 pertain to the subject in any way? It's not even an online game....
I'm not the kind of guy who will say ''what lag? I've got fibre optic''
I have terrible internet and that's why I'm surprised and asking.
Well about GoW, some people have been saying it's an issue with the PS3 itself but there's no reason that a game like DUST would choke up a PS3, with God of War as my witness, lol |

Daedric Lothar wrote:Something is really off about this game that I can't put my finger on. Thats because I'm bad. I couldn't decide if its FPS or Lag issues. Everyone else just says the game is slow, but I think its something technically wrong. But the aiming and shooting is really off compared to other games.
The reason why I'm confused is because if ANYONE would get bad FPS drops it should be ME what with my terrible F rated internet.
I should think myself lucky to actually have an ''experience'' in an online game. I get lag, the game freezes up sometimes but I don't get slow-down so maybe I'm slightly lucky? 2 out of 3 isn't bad. |

Rei Shepard wrote:Some people cannot see FPS drops, like a friend of mine. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=535863 Quote:"60 FPS is a speed the brain and the eye can catch up with and understand," he said. "But at 30 FPS there's a technique where you take advantage of the brain's ability to fill in the blanks. So even though you have it running at 30 FPS, you create the motions and the poses in such a way that the brain will naturally fill in what would have been the extra frames." Sadly i am not one of them and see drops very clearly as light of day, especially sub 30 FPS.
Interesting :)
I'll take a look when I'm at home, anyone who posts now does so at their own leisure, I'm not able to reply now, back to work.... |
