The command suit was suppose to be coming out "soon" a few months ago and i guess its not. The command suit is going to be the buffer of dust and will support more oriented roles. I suspect the command suit will be designed similarly to Logi with lots of equipment slots to fit buff modules on and maybe a Light slot and nade slot or a Light slot and side slot(I would prefer different variation having different layouts). basically a suit gimped on damaging but with an Ok tank with bonuses to using Buff equpment.
I would personally like to see
Squad wide equipment that affects all members of your squad regardless of location such as fit this equipment module and your squad mates get a 5% to something like Scan strength, Signature resolution, hacking speeds(Think of it has all your suits sharing their processing power to speed up hacks by communicating through this module) and other soft buffs things
Area wide equipment that buffs all players in your vicinity by 3% on things like Armor repair rate, shield regen, hardeners, and increase efficiency of certain modules Stat buffs
temporary buff equipment that will buff things like reload speed, sprint speed, stamina regen, removal of stacking penalties temporarly and other things of a more noticeable nature for a short period of time for a 5% bonus.
Buff modules should also be divided into passive and active, where passive is the buffs all ways happening and active is where you have the buff equipment selected. I can see all Squad wide bonus being passive, all Temporary buffs being active and Area buffs being a mix based off whats balanced.
NOTE players should only be able to receive multiples of the same type of buff from different suits. so if there are three Comnd Suits and each of them has a module that boost shield regen by 5% then the combatant would only receive a 5% bonus not a 15% bonus. However if each of those command suits is buffing a different stat then the combatant would get all three 5% added to him.
NOTE I would expect that in return for being similar to a logi but with a better tank the command suit would have one fewer equipment slots than an equivalent logi, So if a logi on the same tier had three then the corresponding command suit would have two. |

Very nice relly love the idea of this !!!
Making the command suit get a CPU "bonus" (-50 CPU take or something like that ) on "boosting equipment" that can have as you said two variants a passive one and a active AOE one. The downside should then be that the command suit gets a drawback to weapon dps (maybe even spread and such ) but gets more of a buff. Maybe it could be molted a bit after the Logi suit and have somewhat same running and stamina stats as those. As you stated they could look alike. (would mean logis should get a bonus to something they'r good at otherwise command suit will just be a buff logi suit ) |

good point they should get a cpu or pg usage bonus for command models.
But I also think that while speed and stamina should be similar to a logi they should generally have one less equipment slot than a equivalent logi but more HP. I think most or even All Logi suits have 3 equipment slots so most or all Comnd suits would have 2 equipment slots. Command suits should have a better tank in return for fewer equipment slot.
I also think Buff equipment should have some hefty cpu or pg requirements so that a non command suit like the logi could not stack up on them and out preform the command suit at its own job. This way where as most suits would have to have one buff module and not be able to run around loaded down with stuff like a logi should(repper, hive, injector). a command suit could run two command equips with enough Cpu/pg left to comfortable fit the two buff modules and a few general modules if they balance their cpu/pg right. |

I'm really not sure about the buff modules you've mooted here - at the very least if anything like that is created, I don't think it should fit in equipment slots. A proto logi could have 4 buff modules and even if they don't get a possible bonus reduction to CPU/PG usage that your version of the command suit gets, they could likely still fit them or at least add a CPU/PG module to be able to.
I think your ideas are actually quite far from what CCP was envisaging too - what I took from the few tidbits that have been mentioned was that the Command suit was supposed to be like a battlefield commander who would set team-wide targets, deploy assets and communicate to the whole team to control the flow of the battle. I really think you're going to have to think a bit more out of the box to make your ideas less like a specialist logi and more individually focused.
I also read somewhere more recently that this likely won't be happening until at least the end of year. |

Well ok then maybe command suit isn't the best name for it. The idea here is that the guy wearing this suit is not meant to be the commander or leader. He's more specced into "buffing" the guys around him. There might be a modules to:
- decrease shield recharge delay time for friendlies within xx meter
- Increase armor repair amount with xx% for friendlies within xx meter
- Increase remote repair range with xx% for friendlies within xx meter
This suit might first be a good idea to implement when battles get even bigger as you would "loose" one guy as he isn't good at actually killing. He's kind of a snowflake on the battlefield. And for the name well you mentioned specialist sooo specialist dropsuit ????? ( I keep thinking of a COMMAND ship in eve which does this but the pilot there isn't the commander )
And managing stats on this suit would mean give this suit higher base shield/armor than a logi as he's made to be more survivable. One less equipment slot than same level logi and then also less cpu an pg (don't want him to be able to fit 3 complex shield extenders like a logi vk.0 can, should be buff already. Also to force him away from just using it as a buff logi who just carries the standard logi stuff ) But with the cpu bonus he'll then have no problem fitting a tank and boosting modules. |

I just called it command cause thats what CCP called it. In dust I dont see the commander being specific to any suit or role and if they are it will usually be one thats not at constant risk of getting taken out so that way they can always issue new orders from the fray rather than asking for logis while they issue commands. I can see a squad leader eitehr being a logi or commander suit and maybe even a heavy but not an assualt. They need to hold back and issue commands will keeping track of their troops. the best way to keep track of them is to either be buffing them or healing them so the name fits. |

They were called Crusader Suits. Anyways, they should get specific benefits depending on race (ex. Amarr gets a bonus on Amor, Armor Repair, and Laser weapons).
