I know there will be new weapons along with the update coming up next month, but here is something.
Okay , so this random idea for a weapon popped up in my head.like the repair tool, but totally opposite. A gun where you have to lock onto one or more enemy infantry targets and slowly drain their HP and heal your own
My custom weapon
Drainer Gun Drain Rate: 60 HP/S (per second) Max Draining distance: 20.0 m Max Targets: 1

Yea i was thinking that too, but how about this: you can only hold the trigger for no more than 3 seconds, if you do, then heat will build up and you will take severe damage |

And wouldn't a shotgunner just turn run to you and gun you down ?? Wouldn't an AR just turn and keep firing as he'll be able to keep the firefight going longer than you ??
I think this idea will be better implemented in a grenade like this: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=331908#post331908 The life steal thing makes it a bit wierd. I don't want rust from a minmatar dropsuit on my fancy gallente dropsuit :P |

its a good idea but I say scratch it , shotguns fill the role for cqb already and tbh idk how this would work and if it works like the repair tool like u said it'd be op as hell w/ the auto lock |

Yes, the weapon would be useful and pretty much useless at different points. maybe If you could sneak up behind someone and drain all their HP before they can even turn around. Also it may be useful for assisting kills, but i wouldn't want to assist all the time... I agree with shotguns having filling the role for CQC though
so its basically : Shotgun > Drain Weapon |
