Hey, as we know now the Sheild Transporters and Remote Repair system modules will not be giving us WP/SP in uprising (hope that changes) but added it to be just like the Repair tool won`t fix it (this isn`t just about the vehicle triage mods, but player to player repair), instead of time like, every 3 secounds of triaging = 25+, it needs to be the ammount of armor (or sheilds) repped, other wise, the gear beyound militia will be costing you ISK for the skill book, SP to upgrade the skill book, ISK for the items, and CPU/PG in your suit and in return you get less WP then a guy with militia or standard repair tool.
So, 25+ with a repair tool for every 50 armor you repair? and for the sheild transporter and remote repare it should be 50+ for each 100 you repair (counts for both sheilds and armor).

CCP/Shanghai did some balancing earlier in the Close Beta, BTW. I used to place in the top five nearly every round when I only ran Logi Bro. Rarely even get out my weapon as I was making great WP just reviving, repairing and tossing Hives.

The unbalanced rewards based on cycle time vs. points repaired has been the basis for several threads now, and it's still valid.
Some folks claim you should be happy that you are helping your team more by expending those SPs and ISK, but that pride doesn't pay for fittings. There is negative incentive to carry anything higher than militia grade in pub matches unless you have a squadmate with an expensive fitting who is willing to fund you. It's sort of like DS flying right now, fun but unrewarding.

4,000 to rezz a teammate with 30% armor or 25,000 to rezz them with 80% armor, yeah... like if I care if they die again, just give me my points!
On a side note: is it bad that I see blueberries as points and not teammates? |

In PS2 i think they have some way of telling if the guy you are repping got damaged by enemy or friendly/neutral fire. Same could be done here. If the "thing" (vehicle / dropsuit) had any of it's damage done to it by a friendly no WP's for repping. If all damage is done by enemies well there you go award WP's. It already gets "recorded" who kills a guy and who helping killing someone so why not use this to also see if the guy that is getting repped is eligible fto get some WP's out of.
With this made, repping would be way to OP so after that a nerf to the amount of points you get from repping should definitely be implemented.
There must be some way to make repping and reviving more rewarding than the 60/25 points it gives. The way the system is made up right now repping a random blueberry with a triage repper wont score you anymore than repping him with a militia repper. If we look at it like a gun being able to do more damage and kill people faster will earn you more WP as well your killing more enemies ( Main idea is you pay more to hopefully also earn more WP's )
If it could be tweaked so that after repping 80 armor you get 8 WP's doing it with a higher tier repper will give you points faster. ( no go with vehicles way to much armor there ) Same deal can go with the nanite injecter. The more armor you initially repair with a injector the more WP's you'll also get. 30% one = 50. 50% = 62 and 80% = 70. ^Just an idea but that way making it more rewarding to field the higher tier stuff. For most guys it's the moral aspect is just not enough. |

ok so becuse people could damage their own vehicles and rep a little bit of them means people will enver gain SP again fromt hat role? bull, Logis can give a nano hive to there team and they shoot blanks and give him WP, people can porpusfully damage themselves with grenades, and logis can rep them, so with this logic (wait for it........) NERF EVERYTHING (couldn`t help myself). bring it back and we`ll get it as fair as possible aswell balanced, we don`t just quit on it, there was plenty of time to fix it in the privet beta and it was a dumb idea to get rid of it, 1 ignored problem is only another later so lets get it done and over with, bring it back and do what were here for. |
