We will just figure it out on May 6. or wait untill the information is released for fanfest... as they arnt going to give away everything that they are presenting at fanfest now will they... wait 2 whole days I'd be okay with that if they hadn't stated numerous times that we would already have the info. Weeks ago it was screen shots holding it up. |

However, what is the value of Officer (Rare Item) salvage? There is no value associated with them. Does that mean they are priceless? All of these items should be kept for future trade and replaced with working items if they no longer work. There are to many unknowns and I hope CCP sticks to their statement of releasing an Excel document with the new skill tree and weapons specs by the 25th of April. I will be highly disappointed if the don't. Officer salvage and other proto salvage needs to remain untouched. While I am sure the ISK will be reimbursed for skillbooks, there are simply too many items that I saved up and plan to use in next build. If proto salvage is taken away, but compensated for then it's a push. You can just purchase it. |

So far CCP does not impress me with their statements. They have not followed through on any that I have seen do far. Including not giving us our blueprints from the human endurance event. I personally like the game or the idea of it. But CCP has to understand that we are not PC players and we console gamers expect our games to work as stated. The game needs action, depth, and clear information that are all available from the console. I have hopes for uprising, but so far the game progresses very slowly. Other console developers are churning out new DLCs including maps, gear, and play expansion at a rate that makes CCP look like they are from the dark ages. If they can not do the same they will end up going the way of the dodo bird... I am willing to wait for them to develop the game, but the communication is frustrating as hell.

If the DEVs hadn't come out many times and stated that they would be making this information available then I'd be waiting patiently. But they got everybody excited stating a few times that it would be released "next week". Then another DEV gets on and asks what we DEV blog everyone is waiting on.
It takes a forum poster finding a post on an Asian playstation forum from CCP to get them to post this one here.
I think it's great that CCP is as open as they are, but in business you don't make promises you can't keep. Either keep your mouth shut or expect your customers to become anxious for what you've stated you can deliver.
And to make one thing clear. I'm not angry with CCP about this. I'm disappointed. It will make me second guess them when they release information. I've seen people mention that our complaining will cause them to stop releasing information. At this point I think them keeping their mouth shut in regards to timelines would be a good idea. They don't have a good track record of meeting timelines. And instead of coming out and saying that things are delayed and apologizing they just go silent. This causes frustration. |

From Costa Rica wrote:Do i really need to tell you guys its coming on the 6th? Again, for the 100th time. The DEVs were going to release an in depth article explaining all the new skills so that people can start to wrap their head around it all.
I'm over it now, with all the information that is coming out from Fanfest I don't think they even know what's going to be released and when.
I'm just going to roll with it from now on. I can't find the thread on here from the first official podcast they released but it was weeks ago. They stated they would be releasing the info in a separate blog soon. Weeks went by and then they claimed it would come out the following week. It's been a few weeks since then and we've heard nothing.
The hand wringing is from the anxiety created from the lack of communication and the inability to deliver in the time frames they gave. In other words if not for their statements I don't think people would be as frustrated.
At this point I'm just excited for what's coming. It all looks great and I assume they were working on the game instead of info for us. I'm okay with that and I hope the game is a success. |
