I, like many smart closed-beta testers, managed to purchase a single blueprint copy of certain AUR suits that were later pulled from the market. On my case, I bought the 'Kindred' Scout Suit. For those of you who haven't seen it mainly because you are new to this game, the 'Kindred' is that one scout suit you often see me walking around in on the warbarge and got really curious about.
It's a mostly white suit with red patches and trimming. I bought this mainly to show off as a collectable just like how Chribba shows off his Veldnaught in high-sec. I have no intention of using it in battle because it is now technically a novelty item that is no longer available on the market and currently not able to reproduce it. It is my pride and joy and a reminder of how far this game has progressed. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one collecting them as I once ran into a female merc with the same suit (she looked damn sexy in red - though not as sexy as me).
We all know at this point that our inventory will see items being taken away and reimbursed to us at current market prices. However, there has been no mention as to what will happen with these novelty items that many of us beta veterans have collected since closed beta.
I understand that there is a good likelihood that award-items like the 'Skinweave' and 'Quafe' suits as well as the 'Exile' assault rifle', etc. might stick around because they are likely tagged as reward items, but the 'Kindred' suit and others like it are not likely to be tagged as reward items because they were specifically bought from the market to collect before they got removed.
I want to know if I will be able to keep my 'Kindred' come May 6. Can I? I don't want it to go away and I want to be like Chribba and show off my collection. |

Make it [INVALID] by simply removing any weapons and mods attached to it. Problem solved. |

Sort of. How it went down was like this.
If your Dreadnaught was parked in a high-sec station at the time of the new restriction being implemented (Dreads are no longer allowed in high-sec), your dreadnaught will stay in high-sec. However, you cannot use that Dreadnaught in high-sec for anything that involves aggressing with it. If your Dread is caught by the server aggressing something, it will be moved to the nearest low-sec system without warning.
In other words, Chribba has not aggressed anyone with his Dread since then and is usually seen mining Veldspar with it. Thus the name "Veldnaught". |

It was moved by mistake, which did cause some fuss, and the rules mentioned here were born after that incident. So yes, it's still in my possession in Amarr /c

Yeah as long as you marked it as a favorite. It will show up in the barge regardless if you fit nothing at all. You just won't be able to select it during combat. |

Goonswarm ran the numbers a few years ago iirc, and found that the number of alpha battleships required way (way...) higher than a system could handle. Pretty much this is the last serious thought about it. The biggest attack to date, was an Abaddon, and as the nature plays, it didn't take long for CONCORD to drop the hull of it. /c
You're soooooooooo lucky to have that ship then. But watch out. With TiDi and the war on lag I get the feeling the day will come when the Veldnaught will meet its maker. |
