I was in quaint little coffee shop close to my house called the MCC. I was wearing my sexy, yet subtle B suit. Of course I wasn't expecting much attention this afternoon. In my normal spot I dropped armor repping nanohives and proceeded to read Game of Thrones on my kindle. About 2 or so in the afternoon I noticed a few merc stop in for a coffee. Once they were done with their coffee they made their way over to me. Suddenly, they both blew themselves up and took my sheilds with them. About 30 seconds later they returned this time with another friend. I was really excited this time and they all three suicided at once in my honor. Lucky for me I had worn my armor plated B suit and survived just fine. They attempted to kill me a third then a forth time. After the forth attempt my armor hives disappeared and I thought they are going to get me this time. Next thing I know I am staring at the "defeat" screen with my team having lost by 2 armor bars. I gathered up my sp, isk, and 10 krin assualt rifles and headed back to my merc quarters. All I could think about is if those 3 mercs would have just fought instead of trying to kill me we could have won. I'll never forget that day or the selfishness of those 3 mercs

How could you call their sacrifice to honor your selfish? They obviously believed that by sacrificing themselves and the victory would lead to redemption down the road. I say "Kudos to you blueberries out there who honor me with your deaths. I shall think fondly of you as I collect my tribute at the end of the game." Still, my favorite is thinking about the utter confusion that is going on in the minds of the afk purgers when they are trying to kill me while I am perched on one of the walls by the MCC exit. I like to imagine that the emotional progression is something like this: - Joy - Seeing an afk'er in the MCC on whom they can extract their virgin rage - Release - As their grenade goes off in their hands, they wet themselves a little thinking about the afk'er joining them in the afterlife - Confusion - They just dont understand why they didnt see that -50 show up - Determination - It must be that the tricksy afk'er was running a non-militia suit. Oh, you are going to get him now you valiant crusader of all things lawful and fair. - Continued Determination - If it didnt work the first three times, maybe this time you will finally get him. - Rage - Why, oh why wont you die you horrible horrible person. You are making this game so terrible for me. I need my REVENGE!!!!! - Tears - Life just isnt fair. Hold me mum - Resolution - THE FORUM SHALL HEAR OF THIS!!!!

More than 50% of my officer weapons and a large percentage of my salvage does come when I AFK. I have played whole evenings for 5 hours straight and not rcv'd a single salvage item in all the games I play but I get salvage in about 80% of the AFK game I play. I would not be surprised if lower scored increases your chance of obtaining salvage items.....I have even received 3 high level items in one game. The trick is to hit your right stick every once in a while to make the zealots think that you arent truely afk but just too lazy to play the game. This seems to set off a whole new level of rage.
