A few builds back, we got auditory feedback for hitting a target to go along with the hit markers. I'd like to see that auditory feedback extend to getting hit yourself, with the sound of the impact varying based on the amount of damage you're taking. Maybe have your character grunt in pain when you get into low armor. |

Very good idea. Maybe you could leave a slight blood trail as well. Just a bunch of drops of blood until your armour gets repaired Not like a whole puddle of blood as you walk.

+1 I was aiming more at the idea of feedback about what you're getting hit with and how hard it's hitting you, but that might be neat as well. If it were to be implemented, it'd probably be really low-key though, as this thing does have to maintain a Teen rating and not get banned in Australia. |

Yea,the hit thing is cool and so is the groaning in pain of the Mercenary if he is low armour. Maybe make the groans noticeable if you are within ten feet of an injured merc |

This doesn't sound very RP/MMO. If you wanna grunt in pain when you get shot, just turn press to talk off and start grunting when you get shot. I'm sure your squad mates would be thrilled at your desire for realism.

I try not to get into the bacon stuff to prevent myself from making myself too hungry, but the sound of bullets hitting shields should be reminiscent of a line of juicy bacon strips sizzling on a frying pan.

Go for the gold, get the oscar! It was more from the standpoint that a shield would absorb all the kinetics involved in getting hit, but even with how thick our armor may be, it's still recoiling against your body, and would do so more dramatically the more damaged it was. |
