Like the ones that were bought during the time when that whole deal was in place. Any other merc pack that was bought after the change would be considered permanent, and non refundable.

Assuming CCP can track when the Merc Pack was bought (which they probably can), and how, since the Gamestop Merc Packs still have the old description...
I say that's fair, since it's only the Merc Packs pre-open beta that had the terms people are trying to debate. |

Yea you can do that just expect a reset for you so you have no SP/ISK/items
I will stick with all my SP/items/ISK and CCP can keep my AUR and money |

By "valid" I mean something backed by logic and facts. A sense of being "fair" to people who were late to the party and don't want the early adopters to get what they actually signed up for doesn't count. |

Yup
Logic for me
Why punish the majority for something that the minority want? make it an option
Option A - can have a full reset of SP/ISK/items and merc pack refund
Option B - No reset but you keep SP/ISK and items acquired but no merc pack refund
Everyone is a winner |

How is it fair for the "majority" to be offended because the "minority" paid for something and are asking no more than they paid for?
Lets say there's a group of 30 people on a holiday tour. 3 of them stop and buy candy at a stall where there's a 2-for-1 sale. They each eat one bag of their candy, saving the second for later. While they're on the tour, they mention that the candy was really good, but when they come back to the stall, the 2-for-1 sale is no longer running. 10 of the remaining people buy candy, but then the 3 who "already got what they paid for" pull their second bag of candy out, and mention there had been a 2-for-1 deal earlier.
Should all 27 people - some with candy and some without - gang up on the 3 who thought ahead? Should they confiscate the candy they "didn't pay for" and throw it away?
Because that's what you're doing. And I'm very protective of my sugar-coated deliciousness. |

So you are saying that ppl took advantage of a 2 for 1 offer and got 2 merc packs and got them both yet other ppl who missed out on the offer are crying?
What your not making sense? if its an offer its an offer aslong as they reciever both packs then its all good

What your not making sense? if its an offer its an offer aslong as they reciever both packs then its all good We took advantage of an offer that said we got a full credit of the Merc Pack on commercial release - independent of any requirement for commercial release to include a character reset. Specifically and clearly stated as being independent of a character reset. Not "at commercial release if there's a reset". Not the ambiguous-but-implied "at every reset including commercial release" which would at least have left some room to argue.
The deal I paid for included - without any ambiguity - a full credit of the Merc Pack on release day.
That's what I'm asking for.
I don't expect to hit release and see 2 Dragonfly suits and 2 Toxin SMGs and 100 HK4Ms and another 30-day booster even if I didn't use the first one. I expect to see everything that I USED and NO LONGER HAVE credited back as was promised. |

You're saying that because people buying it NOW don't get what CCP agreed to give me, that they shouldn't have to give ME what they agreed to. Because I'm a "minority" and the people who didn't take advantage of the better deal are the "majority" so their feelings matter more than my right to what I paid for.
Was this a PSN deal or what?
Also the deal sounds like its use it and get it back on release, no you get 2 of everything, it doesnt even sound like 2 for 1 deal and tbh if you want it back are you going to give up all the kills/WP/SP/ISK and items that you gained from using said pack when you recieved it? |

Nobody's asking for anything outside of what our purchase covered. People are assuming (somehow) that giving us what CCP agreed to give us will somehow be "unfair" on everyone else because we get 2 of everything. |

Even i might have bought the pack when it said that but tbh i dont care i have used my merc pack and obtained all my stats and items from using it and im not fussed about a refund but if i did want a refund i would expect to lose SP/ISK/items and basically be prepared to have a full reset not get another pack for free while keeping everything else |

Because the majority of these whine threads were from faggots who were wanting merc packs back because they were screaming its 'commercial release' and 'full reset'
No one actually said what the problem was since they were too busy playing internet lawyer and sprouting BS

lol reply got reported
Basically if ppl stopped playing internet lawyer and explained what the problem was instead of crying about how its 'commercial release' and 'full reset' and more BS we would have got the problem sooner
Either way its not a problem

I'm sorry if you missed the relevance of that.
I bought my Merc Pack during closed beta, under the old conditions. I still have most of the contents of the Merc Pack, I havne't used much at all of what it inlcudes. I personally won't be taking any legal action if there's no credit offered to Merc Pack customers from that period. At the moment, in spite of a lack of clarity, I'm still planning to buy another Merc Pack - or an equivalent if they release any new ones - after Uprising is released. If I get a credit of my Merc Pack contents at that point, and am told it's happening now instead of at release, I won't complain. If I get told that I'll get some other appropriately-valued reward at release, I'll be happy. If we still don't get a straight answer, I'll be buying my second pack then not spending any money with CCP until we know what's going on definitively. And if they decide not to honour their agreements, I won't be spending any more money with them.
And the devs have specifically stated there will be no more character resets. When I bought it, the Merc Pack was a deal that offered a credit back of its contents at every character reset AND at commercial release. There was no "but only if there's a reset then too" clause, it didn't even say "including commercial release" so that you could assume it meant the credit was dependent upon a character reset. It clearly made a distinction between character resets and the commercial release of the game, and it clearly stated that commercial release - NOT requiring that commercial release be a reset - would include a full credit of the Merc Pack's contents.
EDIT: Here, have a link to the terms I agreed to

There's absolutely no reason why people who bought the Merc Pack should get their SP reset in order to receive the entirety of their purchase. That's a complete nonsequiter that a random CCP White Knight forum warrior suggested. There's no justification for such a thing. Why would CCP start arbitrarily resetting people's SP when they purchase items with real money? It's a completely ludicrous suggestion.
"We see you've purchased the Armor Pack, to redeem it and receive your tanks simply click here [ ] to reset your character."
p.s. Takahiro, I'm guessing you're being reported for spamming/trolling. are literally copy/pasting the same reply over and over, which on most forums is against the rules. |

Honestly at this point I am starting to wish that CCP listens to these little 10 year old kids ask for. I hope they violate their contractual obligations and spend all their money on legal fees, or resets everyone's SP despite their official announcement. Either way there will be enough negative publicity to destroy the future of this game and their business and have an adverse affect on EVE online.
I'm sure Sony would love to continue doing business with such a company. It's not like this game is a PSN exclusive or on the front page of the PS store. It's not like Sony would care that one of their vendors refuses to uphold their side of purchase agreements listed in their online store with Sony's name all over the place. |
