I "conscientiously object" when I get given a contract I don't want.
I will not fight for Amarr or Caldari.
Until we get a matchmaking/contract system where the Mercs have the choice I will continue to do so. |

A simple option of being able to change sides (once) would help immensely. If you dont want to fight for a certain faction the answer is much simpler than afking LEAVE THE BATTLE if you afk you are wasting space for someone who wants to fight and wasting your teams time. Afking is a scourge that shows nothing but cowardice.
Whatever you say, Boss. o7 |

Afking is a scourge that shows nothing but cowardice. Whatever you say, Boss. o7 EDIT: On Cowardice: Leaving a battle is cowardice, screwing over the ENEMY by any means available is a viable tactic IMHO. My Enemies are Amarr and Caldari, not the other team. If you can't grasp this then you should probably stick to CoD. Ha having never playd cod past the first one ps3 (i cant even be bothered to remember its title)I find your insinuation nothing short of insulting. I am also a caldari diehard both on eve (when I was still playing) and right here on dust. I do understand the concept of faction warfare and pub games at the moment are simply a taste of faction warfare unless they are specifically merc contracts. So as far as I see it afking yes might be a tactic in acctual faction warfare but in pub games its pretty shoddy.
@ Pegasis: If you want to feel insulted that is your perogative, but it was not my intent.
Blindly charging into battle and saying "Red's are my enemy!" is in my opinion, rather short sighted. I'm not telling anyone how to play (unlike the near constant stream of AFK whiners), I'm attempting to show my reasoning. If you don't like the way I play, fine, but I don't expect to be told how to play by anyone else.
Until such time as CCP makes a statement to the effect of "This is unintended behaviour, please stop" then I will continue to "concientiously object" to contracts I don't want. I won't be leaving battles, I've already explained why, and I will continue to act in the way that I see fit!
TL;DR
Don't like it? QQ some more. |

thought it was pretty funny personally. I'm well aware people AFK farm. do I? no. Do I care that others do? no.
I can sympathize with players for being bored with the game in its current standing, and the presence of AFK farming means only 1 thing...
they love the game but don't want to fall behind in SP. they are patiently waiting for the new build and catching up on laundry in the process.
good for them.
No excuse, abusing a faulty game mechanic should be frowned upon, as 'WARRIORS INC' were frowned upon for the OB glitch in closed beta. All because it doesn effect you directly, doesnt make it any better. As a CEO you should at least realise that and not post what you did to promote it.
Link to where a Dev says it's a faulty game mechanic, or it didn't happen. |
