the biz model is intended to bring eve players to 514 and 514 players to eve, yeah?
how the hell are any of these 514 players gonna be able to play EvE when EvE is harder then 514...
and 514 is, has been and will continue to be too hard for em to play?
kinda a catch 22?
or maybe a catch 514!

So Dust is too hard for EVE players? Hmm I beg to differ  .
Also, Dust is intended to bring more players to the EVE universe, not just EVE. |

I've tried the free trial, it was hard, but I could probably get the hang of it. I just hate monthly subs. |

The business model is not supposed to bring DUST players to EVE and vice versa.
DUST is supposed to reach the players that would not play EVE, hence the console and the near opposite play-style of the games |

pretty sure there are going to be ground to orbit installations that just might be able to shoot eve players outta the sky. i imagine it would work the same way as orbitals work now, just opposite direction. eve player sends target info to Dust MCC commander, MCC commander shoots into orbit with big ass cannon/laser/missile/railgun |

This is a common misconception with eve (and dust). You do not need to catch up to the veterans to be competitive. In Eve, you can become competitive almost immediately, and just as good, in a single role, as a veteran in a matter of a few months - just like dust. |

Well there's plenty of things to do in Eve that don't require getting slaughtered

Dust is a stepping stone- it gets people interested in the whole eve thing, gives them an idea of the skills they need, and so forth. |
