I bet Dust 514 would be more awesome if wealthy farmers paid mercs to protect their estates from outlaws, rival farmers, imperial expansion and Corporations.
Eventually you could become a Farmer of your own estate and claim it as your own. Deal is, if you have rich land or mining land, you would be a prime target for hostile takeovers. Even if you do not control good productive land, you would still be targeted eventually by people trying to expand their territory. So it would be best to get protection from a corp and alliance. Though, if you have a ton of ISK, you could probably higher your own personal security forces and/or automated defenses.
Would be pretty freakin' awesome! |
